I agree. I hate when people post fucking page stretch pictures and you have to refresh the page to make them go away.
 
I suppose that's a risk you take when you open a spoiler.

If I remember correctly, we were getting vB4 at the start of the year. And then it was postponed. And postponed. And postponed some more. Apparently because the original 4.0.0 release wasn't stable or good enough. Dunno.
 
Correct. However, vB4.0.3 is now out, and it apparently has all the features that we were waiting for. All the addons we use have been upgraded for vB4 now as well. Once we've had a week or two to test it properly (and convert the skins over), we'll be going through with the upgrade.

Fun fact: This is the first time it's ever occurred to me that vBulletin is a product you have to purchase. But then, this is the first time I've been on a forum in.... eight years? So I think I break even.
 
So what happens when you do upgrade? Will the site be closed for a certain period of time?

I wonder how they can prevent illegal copies of this kind of software, considering they're giving you the source code (php, js) of the site after purchase. Dunno.

I've always been into free software, in this case the free one would be Simple Machines Forum, which the NIWA hub forum uses :p
