So, what web browser do you use?

If you choose other, specify in post.

Mainly Google Chrome, but also Firefox and occasionally Opera. However, I do wish to try some of the more obscure browsers. I tried Sea Monkey but didn't really like it.

Internet Explorer and Mozilla FireFox, though I use IE much more though.

I use Firefox, and sometimes Safari, sometimes IE. I tried Chrome once, it was okay, but I don't like all the "convince" tracking it does, that's what the favorites bar is for.

I use Firefox all the time, and haven't thought about getting more than one browser until very recently.

I've been using Firefox for years now. It's great because of the add-ons and whatnot.

I use Firefox and IE now. But I use IE more now, because Firefox's memory usage is... a tad high for my liking. So I only use it when I'm looking around fansites that may have some nasty elements hiding in them...

Otherwise, I just use IE.

Firefox is my mainstay, but I have IE, Safari and Opera to fall back on if I'm having browsing issues.

I fell in love with tabbed browsing ever since I upgraded to firefox and never looked back. Back in the old days I would easily have 5-7 IE windows open taking up tons of space. Now-a-days I can easily have 20-30 tabs up. Yeah, yeah, it eats up memory but I have a widget that keeps track of my memory so I don't get way too low. That way I can refresh the browser every other day when the memory leaks too much.

Neighbor's internet access.

We're to cheap to buy our own computer w/ internet, so we got a laptop and hooked up to the rich people's next door.

I use Safari. Since I have dialup I noticed it's the fastest browser for my connection plus I love the smooth screen fonts associated with it. I actually feel FireFox gets too much credit. I don't mind it, don't get me wrong, but I personally like Safari better.

I use Opera, and IE whenever theres some kinda problem (lots of downloads, games, etc. don't work too well on Opera)

Firefox, after switching I could never turn back to Internet Explorer.

Even using IE nowadays when needed it feels so buggy and dangerous Spyware-wise.

Firefox.
IE is slow on my laptop, and for some reason it just annoys me.

IE. I can't STAND tabs, and Firefox tried to take over my computer (seriously, it made itself my default even when I told it not to--I'd click on the IE icon and Firefox would open instead...yeah, I'm not about to continue using a program that does that).

Although unfortunately it seems even IE is relying on tabs nowadays. Why in the world...? It makes no sense and makes everything absurdly clunky.

Chrome is more effective with tabs because they use a separate process for each tab, unlike the other browsers. Try it out, though it's still a bit buggy.

Firefox. Tabs make everything much more convenient and organized without cluttering the taskbar. Even though IE has all the modern features like tabs and addons, I still like Firefox better.

I also use Chrome sometimes, but the dumbed-down interface has kept it from being my main browser.

I use Google Chrome because imo it looks nice and is really easy to use and it has a built in spell checker witch is really useful. The bookmarks bar makes it quick to get to websites you use a lot.

Firefox, though I don't mind IE or Google Chrome (but my experience with the latter in Vista has been rather consternating). I'd have to say with pronounced intent that I'm at agreeance with Blackjack Palazzo in a terms of Firefox's tabs. I wouldn't say I look upon with them with disdain - they're useful to a point but I think they're best used in moderation and they're only as helpful as multiple windows are for me (tabs are rather RAM-consuming). That, and Firefox's format is so flat to me that I feel like I'm going to fall into it sometimes (or at least would be suspended over it). IE7 isn't as smooth an experience for me, either - accosting ActiveX controls and compatibility issues comes to mind. But I don't hate IE7 consciously.

However, what I do feel is more cogent and enjoyable in Firefox is its capacity to save the last state the browser was in if you'd quit inadvertently. I know I wouldn't be very happy to have written a very long and thought out post without saving a backup in notepad or whatever app, only to have myself, by accident, quit, lose that post, and having a hard time writing it half as well next time. So I like Firefox best but feel every browser holds its merit. Like Tommy, I don't think any one browser should get wholly warrant in favor of another.

I haven't tried Safari but I should sometime soon. Nevertheless, the above sentiment and standings remain on my part.
