No, and I don't know of anyone that has one. I have played through the game twice and haven't even seen one! Are there shiny's in R/S?

Hmm *picks up copy of POKE silver*....i found one in this afer 54 hours of play....*picks up copy of ruby* ive played this for almost 100 hours and no shiney's

i found my first shiny poocheyna about 2 hrs after starting my new game on ruby

I don't have one either... =( My friend has a shiny Wingull, though o_O

I just recently found the proof that this "shiny" thing people speak of wasn't just a big conspiracy against me. (I had never found one, and neither had anybody I knew personally). I was in the Battle tower on Sapphire and a shiny Jigglypuff came out. I've seen the shiny sprite so often, I wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't sparkled. Shame.

Basically, no, I don't have one, and that's the only time I've ever seen one, in all my over 1000 hours of playing Gold, Crystal and Sapphire. And well, technically Colosseum too.

I don't know if this is old news, but there are shinies in FR/LG. My brother just caught a shiny Ditto ^^

In R/S I found a Shiny Golbat and In Gold I found a Shiny Abra it was to the north of Whitney's gym but it teleported away...

Yes, in Sapphire, I do have a shiny....but it's a Wingull. And it's either grey or green, it's hard to tell. Really, it just sits in the PC so that I can tell people I have a shiny. Once I found a shiny Tentacool, it was completely blue, and once I had a shiny Wurmple. I trained it, but when it evolved into Beautifly, you could hardly tell it was shiny. The Wurmple had been purple, but the Beautifly was orange. If it didn't do the twinkly thing, you wouldn't have been able to tell it was a shiny. I started over on accident so the shiny beautifly was deleted, so I don't guess it still counts.

Oh, I almost forgot. In pokemon Crystal, I did find a shiny Metapod. It was pink, and I wanted it soooo bad, but I didn't have any pokeballs with me at the time, so that one got away. I tried to find it again, but I never have been able.

R/S Shiny

I was playing Pokemon Ruby a long time ago and when I was in the building at the foot of Mt. Pyre, there I found a Shiny Shuppet!!! I managed to whittle down it's HP and before I could catch it, the little SOB used Curse to kill itself!!!!!!!

WHY?!!!!!! I almost had my first ever legit Shiny Pokemon!!!! I haven't been the same since.

I've never seen a shiny, but I have caught Pokerus, which is rarer.

Pokerus

You just reminded me of something! I did catch the Pokerus in my Ruby game and it infected a bunch of the Pokemon in my party!

I guess having that makes up for me not catching that Shiny Shuppet. :-)

Does FR/LG count? Today I just caught a shiny Pidgey on my new Fire Red game! I was training just outside Pewter when this glorious golden bird jumped out of the long grass. I couldn't believe my luck, because not only did I manage to catch her, but she has a Docile nature too! I've named her Goldie and she's currently resting on PC until I finish beating the game with my Poison team.

I have gotten quite a few shinies on old Sapphire games, but they've either been Pokemon I didn't care for (Spinda, Whismur, two Zigzagoons) or they were screwed up by a bad nature (Golbat), so I wasn't too sad about losing them to restarts. In GSC I've gotten about seven or eight shiny Rattata, a shiny Ekans, Donphan and Paras, although the only ones I have left are my Clefable, Magby and Drowzee. (I'm really upset about my Ekans - I traded her over to RBY so that she'd survive the game being restarted, then because she wasn't differently-coloured I must've forgotten she was shiny when I restarted that game.)

The first shiny Pokemon I ever encountered was a Pidgey wayyyy back when I first played Silver, just outside Cherrygrove City. Back then I was still using my ancient, brick-sized black and white Game Boy, so I wasn't exactly sure if the flashing screen and weird noise meant it was a shiny or not. The whole question was moot anyway, as my Totodile did a stupid critical hit and fainted it. So I'm especially pleased that, all these years later, I've managed to get my hands on a shiny Pidgey again. ^_^

I myself have been lucky enough to encounter three and catch two shiny Pokemon on my Sapphire cart. After approximately 230 hours of gameplay, I've got both a shiny Gyarados and a shiny Golbat. Not my favorite Pokemon, but a pair of Pokemon both in my top 70 favorites. Though Gyarados would be in my top 30. Yeah...I overcomplicate these things...

Then there's my tale of woe...I was in the Safari Zone and encountered a shiny Girafarig. I had no Pokeblocks, not knowing what use they really served(and I really wasn't interested at the time), and thus lobbed balls at the rare Pokemon. However, it was to no avail, and the Girafarig fled...

Nonetheless, my Gyarados and Golbat are reminders that my luck with shinies could be far worse...

No, I've never seen a shiny but in my Sapphire version my Kyogre caught the Pokerus, so after spreding it I deposited him into the PC. Right now I'm trying to find a shiny Pokemon in my FR.

I never caught one in Ruby, but I did get one from GameStop for fixing the Berry Glitch. (Although I already fixed it with the Colo. bonus disk.) I got a Shiny Zigzagoon from the trade thing they had there. So that is the only Shiny I have. But I still want to get the feeling of finding one in the wild. :P
