Are there any TV series that you don't think make any sense or just plain weird? This is the thread to tell everyone what TV series you think are ridiculous.

As for me, I think the dumbest TV shows are:

24-A show about terrorism (I think) in which all of the events take place within 24 hours. Now, how much stuff within the confines of the plot happen in one day?

Prison Break-Now, I can understand a show about a couple of lab rats with always-failing plans to take over the world or a group of castaways stuck on an uncharted island, but a series about breaking out of prison? How many plans to escape from the clink that end up in failure can be made to keep that series going?

Drive: As far as I know, this series involves a cross-country race. That should be better off as a movie.

Pinky, Elmira and the Brain-It's about two lab rats with plans to take over the world. At least, they would be "lab" rats if they weren't stuck being pets of some creepy little girl. Now who's the wise guy who teamed up Pinky and the Brain with Elmira in the first place?

TV shows that I find weird, but I (used to) like are:

Histeria-Elementary school History Class gone Topsy-turvy.

A Pup Named Scooby-Doo- "Those meddling kids" really are kids and the show has a lot more of Tex Avery-styled gags.

My Mother; The Car-The main character's mother died prior to the start of the series and her soul was reincarnated into a jalopy. I haven't even seen that show, yet I'm pretty sure why it didn't last very long...

Brandy & Mr. Whiskers: A pampered pooch and a dumb bunny get themselves stranded in the Amazon. It's Disney animated series, yet the characters, jokes and episode plots are like those in Nicktoon series.

Tim and Eric's Awesome Show (Great Job!)
12 oz. Mouse

Pretty hard to beat those.

edit: jesus these load times are unbearable.

Mr. Meaty - One of those shows I don't have to watch to tell how stupid it is.

Breaking Bonaduce - One of the most tasteless shows I've ever heard of. Why should we watch a former child star spiral out of control on national TV?

Flavor of Love - You know, he was funny on The Surreal Life, but giving him his own TV show (as well as a spinoff) was a little too much for me.

Chain Reaction - Game show on GSN. It is one of the easiest game shows on TV (except for Wheel of Fortune, I'm not really a fan of easy game shows) yet it's become the network's biggest hit.

PlayMania - If you've never seen this show before, just spend five minutes watching it. The questions they ask are an insult to the intelligence of the entire human race.

The Fairly OddParents - And people wonder why kids these days aren't as smart as they used to be.

But the worst shows of all time are reality shows. Save for a select few (America's Most Wanted, Celebrity Fit Club) I can't stand most of them. Anybody remember that show Bachelorettes in Alaska that Fox came out with a few years back? Please.

I hate reality shows also. And I actually like the Fairy Oddparents.

One anime that I found weird at first was "Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z". I like it, but the fact that it was a Japanese anime adaption of The Powerpuff Girls and the difference between the two felt kind of strange.

Boondocks, Assy McGee and alll of those horrible Adult Swim 15-minute shows. This excludes Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the Brak Show and other originals, of course.

I guess this is off topic, but I find Seinfeld's reputation as one of the best shows, ever, to be both incomprehensible and maladroit. It was the most vapid show I've ever seen. Even the dregs of Friends put on a better show than Seinfeld. Bleck.

^Agreed. Seinfeld sucks.

Friends is crap, too.
Other Crappy shows:
Grey's Anatomy
Lost
American Idol
Survivor
Big Brother

Family Guy. I know it's a cult favorite, but... the humor would be better in MUCH smaller doses.

Mucha Lucha. Why this show existed as long as it did (3 seasons too many) is beyond me. I still remember scrambling for the Mute button whenever the commercials came on while I was watching Pokemon...

GI Joe Sigma 6. Confession time: this was, for about 5 episodes, my biggest guilty pleasure. Basically, the GI Joe anime... which is why I actually bothered watching it. Gonzo did the animation, so it was gorgeous, but it was super corny. Which I guess means they were just staying true to the source material (at least as far as dialogue/story was concerned. Robot dogs. Yeah)... (hey, I was bored and needed to kill time till Pokemon came on. So sue me.) Oh, and Ted Lewis as Cobra Commander. That alone was priceless.

Winx Club. God, I hate it with a PASSION. Being more or less forced to watch it at a sleepover only makes me hate it that much more.

Any stupid show on Cartoon Network NOT made by Craig McCracken or the guy who made Dexter's Lab- Yeah. Just STUPID, okay?

Fear Factor- WTF? Another that lived longer than it should have. Just... disgusting. And stupid. I mean, some of that stuff I wouldn't do for a BILLION dollars...

America's Funniest Home Videos- No, I DON'T find a guy landing on his ass hilarious. Sorry to disappoint you there.

24: Good story... I just can't say I wholeheartedly support any TV show that advocates torture as foreign policy. The last thing we need to do is give Washington any more ideas. (Never mind)

Did we ever get that over here? I know we were supposed to, but I never heard about it... which is a shame, because I love Power Puff Girls, and a PPG anime must be made of win.

Eh, there's always YouTube.

Winx Club. God, I hate it with a PASSION.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Scooby-Doo: It's the exact same episode EVERY EPISODE. All they do is change the setting and what the "monster" is.

The Simple Life: I loathe Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie with the very depth of my soul. Like it's not bad enough I have to hear about their little spats and escapades every time I walk through the grocery line, but they give them a TV show so they can act like a couple of complete idiots and show off scimpy clothes? :eek:hdear:

Mary Kate and Ashley the Animated Series : I have no idea why two girls who cannot act are so famous or why anyone would give them their own cartoon show.

Coconut Fred's Island or whatever it was called: Complete and total Spongbob ripoff. That and Coconut Fred was creepy looking.

His name is Genndy Tartakovsky.

The entire Power Rangers franchise. Year after year, they release
another series. The quality becomes worse and worse exponentially
with recycled scenes constantly being used, crappy actors,
and un-creative concepts. I have to admit, though, that some of the first few series
were actually good(a lot of people watched it for a reason, right?).

YES!! One Power Rangers series was enough!

I detest most reality shows with one exception: Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I haven't watched much of Lost this season, but the last few episodes were really good.

My list also includes:

Any Scooby-Doo show made past 1975. I saw the opening to something called "Scooby and Shaggy Get a Clue" this Saturday and was properly horrified. If the opening doesn't have a creepy black mansion and the words "Scooby Doo Where Are You?" I turn it off.

Ed, Edd, and Eddy. I can't into their humor at all.
Rugrats: All Grown Up. Dear God, why? The appeal of the first show was the perspective of the world as seen through baby/toddler eyes. Making them into whiny tweens ruined it.
ER. Haven't watched since the 5th or 6th season. It's become an unwatchable mess now.

Coconut Fred's Island or whatever it was called: Complete and total Spongbob ripoff. That and Coconut Fred was creepy looking.

Why Nickelodeon never sued WB over that is beyond me. They couldn't have been any more blatant about it.

(On the other hand, Johnny Test, which came on around the same time CFI started airing and was more or less a Dexter's Lab ripoff was actually quite funny and good...)

I completely second that. They killed Rugrats with that, as far as I'm concerned. The special where they went forward in time was funny... but not funny enough to make an entire show out of.

You better start watching! Dude, I just watched the season finale, it was perhaps one of the best and most interesting finales ever. Seriously, near the end of the 2 - hour special thingy, bam! Everything comes at you at once, and you are speechless for about 5 minutes when it's over, then you realize what happened and start freaking out.

Lol. Never mind the fact that Power Rangers had been going on in japan for decades, and that the first one we saw here in the states was FAR from being the first in Japan. xD

I didn't think it was crappy at the time, but Cow and Chicken was definitely weird. :p Another one of roughly the same calibur was Ren and Stimpy, lol.

Two Angry Beavers. They're beavers. They're angry. One of them is Norbit. I rest my case.

Wishbone - I dunno what it is about dressing up a little doggie in clothes and giving him a catchy, funny voice, but damn, that show was awesome. xD Weird as heck, but awesome just the same. :p

The Smurfs - God, I hate the smurfs. I used to love them when I was a kid, but now, I wonder what kind of psychoses its creators must have had...

The Snorks - See the Smurfs.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - I have always, and probably will always love that cartoon. But if you think about it, the concept is pretty strange. :p

The Smurfs rule...the fact that lighting a match could stop a monster made of water must count for something.

Whenever I hear the name Disney or Nickleodian, I want to kill myself. Their cartoons are HORRID. Some of Cartoon Network's cartoons are SO stupid, you have to wonder where they got the idea from (see Cow & Chicken). Whatever happened to the cartoons from the good ol' days, like Bugs Bunny, Superman, and the Thundercats?

I dont think you hear the name Nickleodian a lot...

The cartoon I find strange, weird and stupid: Pokémon

PLEASE DONT HIT ME! I WAS ONLY JOKING!!!! OW! MY SPLEEN!!!!!

Jimmy Neutron is weird. I mean, a lot of times, I am smarter then him. Hes just talking about random bullshit, to make him look smart, and hes wrong anyway.

Carl 2... That show sucks. I mean, he has a secret CLONE? And he manages to hide it from everyone? *yawn*. And when I heard that guy use the word ''Chillax'' I tried to kill myself. I stopped trying to kill myself, when he used the word ''blogdogs''. Then I cried.

hmmm. Dexters lab is kinda weird. Awesome though. ''It is COMPLETED!!!!!!!!!!!'' ''Ooooh...What does this button do????''

Pinky and the Brain is friggin awesome!
Errr...lets see here... Ah yes, Monster Allergy. A show about a stupid kid that sees monsters (which are real). He must fight them, and everyone thinks hes crazy (which he kindof is) because he does strange things (when the monsters come and he fights them, they cant see the monsters).

What more is there to rant about...hmmm... Johny Bravo? No, that was actually pretty funny... Winx Club sucks, but has already been mentioned...Temptation Island? Mentioned...Somebody refresh my memory...
