Well, we're back to having a programmer forum (and a webmasters forum). If you know any (relatively recent) thread that should be moved here, feel free to point them out!

Yes, I just c+p that from the webmasters forum thread and changed only a few things :-p

Programer and programing seem to be accepted spellings, but could you use the most common ones? (programmer and programming) :(

Sorry about that.

No worry. Just me being at once sleepy and trying to get these up in-between bouts of the server deciding it'd like to take a nap.

:-D I never thought I'd get to see this forum come back! Look like it did, kind of. :-D

After we decided to move to fanwork as our theme, programming sounded like a good idea to bring back :-D

What exactly goes in the programming forum? Is this a Computer in general forum or...? I've never really got "Programming" forums.

People can brag about their programming projects, ask help with certain issues, provide advice, (maybe someone will write some basic tutorials? :D), and, well... I still remember how some kid came in and demanded a tutorial on how to write a Yu-Gi-Oh MMORPG. :-D;;

XD

The general idea with this forum is to provide a place :

-Where peopel can showcase projects they're working on (especially pokémon related), ranging from little flash games to full-fledged executables.
-Ask for help on them.
-Discuss programming issues, ideas, etc.
-Suggest ideas of interesting programs they've had, to see if anyone else would be interested in working on them.

Ah, okay ^_^

Maybe when I get around to learning a real programming language, I'll ask all my n00by questions here :)

Edit: w00t, 100 posts XD

Cool, a forum for geeks such as myself. And I'll be sure to answer any nooby questions that I can.

Can we post random applications (or questions about them) that have nothing to do with Pokemon? Thanks and take care.

Yeah, as long as it's about programming, it doesn't have to be about Pokemon.

Good because I'm making a calculator app that solves quadratic equations by simplifying the square roots as opposed to returning a double precision floating point decimal value. Take care.
