((the previous thread, "an RPG that is pretty straight forward (sign up)" is the sign up page for this RPG if you wish to play, but havent signed up, then please do so, then you can post at any time you like))

it was a beautiful day in pallet town. the sun was shinning, the pidgeys were singing and Josh was sitting on his roof top, staring at the sky. His Blaziken was doing the same thing
"You do rememmber what today is, right?" Josh asked his pokemon
"uh... tuesday?" the pokemon replied
"well, yes, but it's the opening day of the pokemon league. there will be a few trainers comming along to pick up their first pokemon and register" Josh explained. Blaziken sat up
"and how are we affected by this?" he asked
"Proffessor oak asked us to help out this year. We got him the pokemon he wanted but" he paused and sighed "perhaps I'm getting too caught up in things. I need a vacation"
"wasn't that trip to the cafe a vacation?" Blaziken asked "except, with a few more friends and us taking on the rockets again"
"well, I would think a vacation would include no work, don't you?" Josh asked "atleast I found that egg. it still hasn't hatched, but it will soon"

a few more moments of sitting on the roof and the two made their way to the lab. they were greeted by the proffessor and Ash, who sat with his Pikachu.
"I'm glad you made it Josh, you and Ash are the senior trainers in this area and we need you to give the new guys some tips before they register for the pokemon league"
"ok, how are the pokemon I got you holding up?" Josh asked
"they're doing ok. now. don't let them battle you, no matter how determined they are, I don't want you to get their pokemon too damaged" stated the proffessor.

the group sat and waited for the new trainers to arrive and register.
 
Nate walked through Pallet Town towards the Oak Labratory. Why Prof. Oak had asked him to come there was still a mystery to him. He had decided to take a break from contests, and compete in the Pokemon Leauge. But then, a letter came requeting that he come to Prof. Oaks Lab.
 
Mitsuki and Van Made there way to the lab.Mitsuki was thinking about the Egg in her hand.

"What a nice town very cozy,Hay Van what do think about the Pokemon Leauge?"

Van:~"Sounds like fun"~

((sorry, got a bit busy latley))

as they waited, Proffessor Oak suddenly remmembered something
"Hey Josh, I need some berries from the forest, some pecha berries. could you go out and get them?"
"I'll do it. I have to stretch my legs anyway" Blaziken stated
"ok Blaziken, just be careful" Blaziken nodded and used its powerful legs to sprint at in great speeds. he tore past a few people and ran straight into the woods.
 
"Well, if it isn't my old pal Josh." Nate said as he entered the lab. "This is a pleasant surprise. Where's Blaziken?"
 
"he's gone outside to get some berries. he wont get caught, trust me, he's good at being on his own, nowadays" josh explained "anyway, it's nice to meet you Nate"
 
"Well, anyway, Professor Oak, why did you call me here. I've been very busy and I went out of my way to come here. What's the big secret?"
 
"ah yes" started the prof "I invited you here because I wanted your help in an experiment. latley, I have been wondering whether a normal trainer is better in an average battle with a co-ordinator. so, I was thinking that if you want to enter the pokemon league, I could see how the different styles of battle vary. Of course, you don't really need to do that if you don't want to"
 
"Sure. I'm always up for a battle. So how about it Josh. You remember my old pal Sora, right?" Nate released his prized Eevee from it's Pokeball.
 
the prof laughed "no, not now. the ultimate test is how far you get through the tornament. Battling Josh or ash now wont really prove anything. I need to see how you do in the different situations the gyms present. but don't be down hearted, we have loads of time. Josh and Ash will be going with you to collect research, and I'll do some more research when you get to the league itself"
 
"Seems fair enough. All right then. Sora, return." Nate attempted to recall Sora, but it refused to go in. It seemed like it had had enough of the pokeball.
