Were all of Tobias Pokémon "legendary" in his team or did he have "normal" ones too?

I was wondering, people began to expect Tobias had more legendary Pokémon aside from Darkrai/Latios. However, I guess he had also normal ones, like Gengar or Gallade since a team full of legendaries isn't very...eh...legal?

What do you think?

obviously everything is speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if he had 4 more very very good pokemon in the wings even if they weren't 'legendaries'. Maybe pseudos like dragonite or salamence, I can even picture one of the legendary dogs

I think ts unlikely that his whole team was full of legendaries. His other pokemon were probably just regular pokemon.

Well...maybe.

Tobias was a "take that" to legendary users from the video games (sorry), so he used the Pal Park to get a Latios from Hoenn, and he used a member pass, then he had a normal team of Torterra, Arcanine, Dialga, Origin Forme Giratina, and Darkrai and Latios.

That is my theory.

i would say he had normal, and by normal i mean very strong. having too many legendaries would have been overkill, but he would have needed really strong pokemon in order to catch the 2 legendaries he had. I would see some pseudos and a really strong starter

Well... he probably needed to have a Pokemon to help him acquire those legendaries, right? He probably had one or two high level, second evo Pokemon, maybe a starter evo and a pseudo-legendary or two (Maybe Tyranitar? For some reason a Tyranitar seems to suit him to me).

If we think about the last DP opening, I think he could have an entei and a lucario too.

Tobias was a piss off! I really was shocked when he pulled out the Latio(a)s! And Ash was the only participant who beat Darkrai and than destroy everything with one more Legendary! COME ON!

For his other Pokes! U never know! He could've befriend Darkrai when he was a little boy and from than they were BFF's! and he would make his mission to capture as many legendary Pokes as possible! But he was a bit old to participate his first time in a League!

Tobias is the anime counterpart of your typical hacker. Blazing through the league with his team of level 100 legendaries, he then somehow legally entered the Conference and won that, too. So no, I don' think he has any normal Pokémon.

It makes sense.

Unless he befriended them? Would explain how he actually owns a legendary and that they listen to him.

Tobias was the biggest dick move the anime writers pulled out of their ass just to get to Unova faster, most people should be aware that Darkrai is banned in official tournaments (Latios is allowed though), the writers seemed to have forgotten that so that Ash could lose the league for the 4th time in a row.

Remember, back in the Battle Frontier, Anabel had an Entei in the games, but when she appeared in the anime, her mighty Entei was replaced by... an Espeon :mad: Apparently, Anabel was forbidden from using legendaries, but interestingly, kept the rest of her team from Emerald, just with Entei replaced with a pathetic Eevee evolution that's not even half as powerful, while Brandon was allowed to use his Regis, which ARE legendaries, but are not OP legendaries, yet Trollbias was allowed to use OP legendaries, what makes him so special?

But remember anime =/= games. Not to mention you can catch a legend before the league and use it, so how is that any different from Tobias? Also, never in the anime has it been mentioned that using legends in an official tournament is illegal. I personally think the remainder of Tobias' team is normal and are just as powerful. So he used two legends, its not like he cheated his way through the league. Sure we can claim its not fair and what not, but so what. He's not the first character to own more than one legend.

Pretty sure if Ash got too far Tobias would have pulled out an Arceus. The whole point and creation of his character was to stop Ash by any means necessary.

I reckon Darkrai and Latios were his only Pokemon at all and he just kept it quiet that he was actually out of pokemon

His remaining Pokémon would could be a Sinnoh Starter and a Psuedo Legendary.

I like to think that his team was Darkrai, Latias and four Level 2 Pidgey.

Are legendary Pokèmon banned from tournaments in the anime though?
I mean yes they are in the game since just about everyone has a few legendaries lying around and they tend to be rather OP but in the anime these are so incredibly rare nobody expects anyone to have them, and if they HAVE caught a legendary they probably earned having it on their team.
You might as well ask Ash to stop using that clearly hacked Pikachu of his.
