Generation 1 What are the red spots on the Japanese Gen I logo?

The Gen I logo I see red spots on the Japanese letters and can't figure out what they are, I wouldn't say it's blood but I just don't know what it is.

Do you by any chance refer to the fire symbol on the Red logo, where it is replaced with a leaf in Green version? They are represenstatives of the box Pokémon's initial types, fire and grass.

I mean the "Pocket Monsters" katakana logo not the version one

It’s just cool colors to add a pattern thing, it’s got no real meaning to it.
