What are your thoughts about Pokémon Origins Season 2

Pokémon Origins style anime for Gold, Silver and Crystal?

Yesterday, it crossed my mind, "What if a second season of Pokémon Origins was made, as a sequel to the first season and now focusing on the Gold and Silver game?"
It would be awesome to a Pokémon Origins style anime following the story of Pokémon Gold Silver and Crystal, rather than the regular style anime.
What do you think about it?
 
Yes please! Would be great if they actually did Crystal because I'd love to see Eusine involved and it could have Kris as main character. But just Gold/Silver would be great too, though I'd want to see Kotone/Lyra as the main character, as we've already had a guy in season one.
 
I'd love this :) GSC is IMO the best gen game (note: I've only played gen 1 and gen 2 tee hee) with Kanto AND Jouto explorable, coooooool region and great plot with Rocket re-band/dis-band. I loved Origins as a massive nostalgia trip through the original games and I'd love to watch the GCS experience as well.

BUT I think it would be harder to create such a thing. The original games were standalone and the overriding plot was insignificant enough to compress the story into a 4-part series. The GSC plot is much more involved.
 
There was already a thread about that. It would be a good idea, but if the creators didn't do a "Origins: Ruby & Sapphire" thing for ORAS I doubt they will do a "Origins: Gold & Silver" thing for no reason at all.

I imagine that they will focus more in the Johto lore than in the champion quest, and there should be at least a full "report" that focues only in the postgame.
 
I could dig them doing one that tells of Gold's story, especially if he final episode has him in a battle against Red that goes all out. I could see them doing this for the next gen games, maybe. Also if this does happen, I really hope the guys that dubbed the first Origins series dub this one, cause that dub was amazing.
 
Technically in Japan and US, it's a Special OVA, but whatever you named it I don't mind.

For me, it's a YES! Would obviously love to have another Origin with a new character such as Gold (or Ethan), Silver, and Crystal (Lyra in HGSS). Because of wonderful plot expansion from GSC, it could be more awesome to this :D
 
I think its gonna happen next year. The way I see it , RGBY and GSC having the origins treatment is to avoid remakes in the mega universe, it would be redundant. In the meanwhile, doing both this gen would make sense, as to quicken things up when it comes to fully updating the series, by gen 8 if remakes for DPt and BW happen then everything would be in place.
Regarding Origins GS, it would be great. They have a set up with Red going after Mew, which can conclude with him ending up on Mt Silver, could include ORAS references to solidify the origins OVAs as the official mega universe canon events, and if as I am hoping they do happen next year before gen 7, they can use it as a teaser by refrencing the Sinnoh events or dropping a cameo with a redesign meant to be used in the DPt remakes.
 
Yes. I'd love to see the HG/SS Rocket admins in anime form. Since the Anime will probably never do so.

And it'll be nice to see Gold and Lyra again.They better do the Giovanni is Silver's dad thing though
 
The question is what mega would they be advertising ? Origins was basically a commercial for Zard X.
 
That's not a bad idea. It could be great if somehow, someone from Game Freak, the Pokémon Company or Nintendo read this and decided to contact an animation studio(s) [or better yet, the ones involved in "Pokémon Origins"] to develop another mini-series.
 
This is an awesome idea that Making a second season including pokemon silver, gold, and crystal. Because my favorite character was red becuase i like the battle with red and mewtwo If i also created pokemon origins i would probably make somehwere like 5 seasons the first and second being a remake of the entire kanto region. The third fourth and fifth being About the entire story line of pokemon gold, crystal, and silver, because i would like so see more of the anime because i love the anime. Also in the second season Red would catch mew because if you saw he caught Mewtwo so it would kind of make sense in Red caught Mew which would be awesome. The 3rd 4th and 5th season from pokemon gold, crystal, and silver. The third season would Have him geting About A good about of progress up until The 7th gym. The 4th season being him continuing from that point until Making it to catch a few legendaries and beating The johto region. The final season being where he makes it to the Kanto region and the last fight being him battling red this is what i would of done if i made pokemon origins.
 
I'd watch it but I wouldn't be excited, unless they made it into a full series. One of my biggest problems with Origin is how rushed it is and how it just skipped events to feature only major ones.
 
I don't like how they did Origins, honestly. The story was ridiculously rushed, the characterization and development of every character was bland and boring, the strict game mechanics made battles as appealing as rotten tomato and cheese sandwiches stuffed in socks, the pokemon had zero personality, and the writing repeatedly revolved on ridiculous contrivances and terrible exposition that made every episode boring and dragged out for the purpose of...nostalgia, I guess? I mean, don't get me wrong, there isn't any problem with having a few bits of fanservice and nostalgia here and there, but...only if the writing surrounding it is good. Considering how badly Origins was written, I wouldn't get my hopes up for a second one.
 
Origins Season 1 only happened because they wanted to shill Mega Charizard X, with the Origins broadcast being its reveal followed by a ton of grown men feigning excitement over it. Unless they have something else they want to shill I don't we're getting an Origins Season 2.

Not that I wouldn't like a season 2 if they made it for the fans rather than the advertisers, but I can't see it happening.
