Any kind of non-manga book quailifies. Please post the book title and author, and perhaps a little info on what it's about? Opinions are welcome as well! So post away.

I am currently reading Darcy & Elizabeth by Linda Berdoll. It was written as a sequel to Jane Austen's book, Pride and Prejudice, due to Jane Austen dying before she could write a sequel. It focuses on Mr. Darcy (who is always reffered to as just Darcy) and Mrs. Darcy (Elizabeth) and their life as a married couple in 1815 England- and now even as parents! I haven't read very far yet, but I know it's gonna be romantic!

Here's a bit from chapter 2:

"Yet another sense beyond the auditory Darcy protected by claiming that view with proprietary vigour. He protected his sight as well. For thus engaged, he kept his gaze from alighting upon his beloved wife. At one time, when forced to suffer society it had been his habit for his eyes to seek her out as if she were some beacon in the night. The very sight of her soothed not only his manners, but his soul."

I'm reading Shadow In The North by Philip Pullman. Simply because I didn't like the fact that I was calling myself a Pullman fan after having only read His Dark Materials. I've read Ruby in the Smoke and it was absolutely brilliant, and so is this.

Surviving Antarctica, a scifi novel, and Monsters of the Sea by Richard Ellis.

Anyone else besides me doing the 50 book challenge at LiveJournal this year?

"Hollywood Wives" and "Hollywood Husbands" by Jackie Collins,

"It" and "Cell" by Stephen King.

Sir Apropos of Nothing - Book Two - The Woad to Wuin by Peter David.

Nothing beats sarcastic fantasy.

The Wave: The Classroom is out of Control from Morton Rhue

and

The Railway Children from Edith Nesbit

Nice books. ;)

I'm currently reading:

...

Frankenstein - Mary Shelley.

If I didn't know you better, I'd say you just came out of my sophmore lit class. About to read: Dracula, by Bram Stoker. It's my summer reading assignment for Brit Lit and Comp.

I just finished reading Fahrenheit 451, and if I get around to it I have to read The Catcher in the Rye for my summer reading list.

I'm considering blowing it off to read the Harry Potter series again though.

Tom Clancy's EndWar.

Holy crap, I'm reading a book with words in it! =O

Lol. I'm a sixth grader, so ...

Anyways, I finished the book. Excellent.

Next book:

The Lost Garden - Laurence Yep

So far, good book describing the life of Yep. :D

Now i am reading Othello written by William Shakespeare. The work revolves around four central characters: Othello, his wife Desdemona, his lieutenant Cassio, and his ensign Iago. Because of its varied themes — racism, love, jealousy and betrayal - the play remains relevant to the present day, and is still quite popular. I like this very much.

Which is what, just reading fifty books? Or is it something else cause that seems rather simple. I'd like to do the challenge either way. Got a link?

I recently finished all the books I was reading. So currently I am reading nothing.

Man, there's so many. I'll just say one.
Skulduggery Pleasant
Playing with Fire
Best book EVER

The Giver
I love that book. I tried to get my brother to read it for one of his book reports but he and my stepdad said it was too weird, confusing, and boring. X(

People need to realize that some books are like that. And many are worth the boring parts once you get to the rest. :D

Just for fun, I'm reading The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me by Roald Dahl.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. 2nd time
