What Common Cores do you use?

I've been experimenting with cores of my team to try to figure out what works best, and I'm generally curious what kind of team cores you use when team building. There are a couple obvious ones, like Deosharp, but I've been seeing some more alternative ones like MGyarados+Talonband and Heatran+MVenusaur. What do you guys use?

Only real core I've used was my Exca/Rotom-W core that got me like 6 badges in the first season of the BBL. Haven't done much team building outside of that one team and maybe another team I abandoned after a battle.

EDIT: Forgot about the M-Aerodactyl/Charizard Core I used when I built a quick VGC team to try and maximize flinches. Only used Charizard because Togekiss isn't legal in VGC 2014.

VenuTran is good but I find that it's overprepared for in todays meta - I prefer MegaZardX+Amoonguss when running stall. Offense wise, I like the classic Double Dragon core, birdspam flavor, with MPinsir and Talonflame, but Thundurus and Landorus (both Incarnate) have also worked well for me as an offensive core, with Thundurus using Prankster TWave to slow down the opposition in preparation for a Lando-I sweep with Sheer Force + Life Orb Earth Power, Focus Blast, Psychic, and Sludge Wave (although sometimes I run rocks over Sludge Wave if my team doesn't have a rocker). Tyranitar (any set, but I like Sash Rocks and Choice Scarf) + Excadrill is also fantastic on both offensive and balanced.

I use defensive cores that cover two walls, such as SkarmSylv, MandiSylv, or SylvWash (I like Sylveon as a wall :p) I like it because I can scare away common threats like Talonflame and Greninja and try to pivot into one of my offensive Pokes. GloryBlaze introduced me to the idea of Double Dragon cores, and since then I've been using things like Crawdaunt and Scizor a lot (though choice-Scizor has always been my favorite). And everyone knows how devastating ScoliEsp can be.

EDIT: I forgot about the VGC core I had of Manectric and Gyarados. I kinda pulled it from the PBR Masters Battle with those two, but the DD boost and immunity to non-Discharge electric attacks is great. It's fun to troll unaware battlers into letting Manectric stack up Sp. Attack then unexpectedly mega-Evolve and nerf their attack :D

I won't reveal the core of my Fire team because, to quote Hadeas from Kid Icarus: Uprising; "Oh, spoiler alert," but I reveal the core of my VGC TR team: Ferrothorn, Reunicluis and Chandelure. How it works is I send out Ferro and Reunicluis and if I think my opponent is going to use a Fire/Fighting move then I switch Ferro with Chandelure, activating Chhandelure's Flash fire, while at the same time my Reunicluis sets up Trick room. And what happens if I don't think my opponent will use a Fire/Fighting attack, you ask? Well, I get my Ferrothorn to set up a Curse while Reunicluis sets up the Room so that I can (attempt to) devistate the opponent with Gyro balls.
