I've let it be known how much I admire the dub of "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure" for removing the narration, since I felt it respected the intelligence of the audience watching it. However, I'm not entirely against narration as a whole. I just don't like descriptive narration when it's in something aimed at a demographic older than the preschool crowd, nor when it's super intrusive and spoon-feeds the whole story to the audience.

So I was thinking how great it would be if a Pikachu short had narration, but in a different style.

Seriously, wouldn't that be hilarious? To have Pikachu and friends have a little adventure where a narrator like this doesn't help matters? Or, make the narrator an actual character like in the old Winnie the Pooh shorts?

What kind of narration would you like to see in a Pikachu short?

No narration. Leave it up to the audience's imagination.

I remember in that one episode early in the OS, and Pikachu and Caterpie were talking about something together without any narration or subtitles. Caterpie was looking at the moon all starry-eyed and it looked as if it wanted to fly some day. It was one of the more memorable scenes.
