Yes, the main reason I wanted to post this thread is to make this joke poll.




More seriously though, how often do you find yourself finding software bugs and doing something about it?
If you are a programist, probably every day, but what about everyone else?

Speaking of games
I used to play Sims 4 a lot and NGL, sometimes it feels like there was more bugs there than actual gameplay. I never bother reporting it, because a million people usually reported it before I saw the bug
 
Usually I cringe inwards and shout outwards. Or the other way 'round.

Then I grab the nearest shoe and try to bonk the bug. I don't always hit, but when I do my laptop falls on the floor.
 
As an up and coming/learning/small time/career-pursuing/whatever you want to call it, programmer I encounter bugs in code whenever I sit down to type essentially. When it comes to bugs in game/web/app design to comedically break it down to: 50% of them is "How can I sweep this under the rug...", 45% of them is "Oh wait I think I actually know how to fix this.", and 5% of them is "Wait this is kinda cool, how can I make this consistent and intentional?"

As for the insect variety of bugs, I don't really mind them, and really like learning about them!.. Except, flies, mosquitoes, gnats, and ants. They can get out..

That is kind of fun. Bugs as enhancers of creativity...

They have been for centuries, considering all the bug art across history, so now they can do that in their double meaning :D
 
I dont encounter that many. I just kinda hope they go away,but Ive encountered some that just literally wont no matter what. Thankfully,the ones in question dont really do anything harmful,so Ive just given up. I have complained about these bugs several times,but nothing ever happens so I no longer bother.
 
I used to consistently kill bugs when I came across them in my house, but now I let them be. As long as there's no investation their presence doesn't affect my life too much realistically, so why would I need to end theirs? I true to use natural remedies such as incense, citronella and carnivorous plants to keep them at bay and that works just fine. At the end of the day if you don't create an environment for them to thrive there's not too much harm. With investations it'd be a different story... I hope I won't have to deal with those too much in the future. knocks on wood

It's especially bad when a massive fly enters the room, I open the window as wide as possible to let it out and then said fly makes every effort to not hit the exit (it takes a turn to round the window and keep hitting the glass instead of flying straight and into the nature).
 
i love how these responses are split between computer bugs and irl bugs lmao it's great

but no i don't like bugs of the creepy and gross variety. i'm less forgiving in that killing them is my first option but they tend to be around my personal space such that "kicking them out" isn't really a viable option.
