What do you do with your Legends?

I've been wondering this for some time now, but I want to see what other people say.
What do you guys do with your Legendary Pokemon?

I've been upset lately that most of my Legendary Pokemon can not be used in Wifi Play.
It makes me sad because that's most of what I like to do now since I finished the main story line for game play. I've been yelled at multiple times now about why Legendary Pokemon should never be in competitive play. I'd beg to differ but that's not the point.

So sadly my legendary pokemon sit in a PC box never to be used. So what do you guys do with your Legendary Pokemon? If your answer is, "They sit in my PC." then do you guys ever feel upset that you don't use them or have no outlet for their use?

Edit: Bonus Question; Do you guys ever feel like Legendary Pokemon are kind of pointless? To me they seem like pointless story filler. <-- IMO

Leave them to rot.

I don't need any handicaps on a game that is already outrageously easy.

I plan on using them, but never do.

Because I "plan" on using them, I usually SR for perfect variants.

I usually use them in contests, especially the cute ones! Ugly legendaries... I won't even catch. They can go die. Like Heatran. And Terrakion.

If any I catch have good IVs and/or a suitable nature, I'll probably train them up, but that rarely happens. (Curse you, Modest Terrakion!) Nowadays, I hate using Pokemon for competitive battles if I know their stats could be much better. I'll only trade my legends for something I desperately want, though. (Traded the Kyogre I got in Emerald for a Palkia, who I didn't have at the time)

I actually kind of agree with you on this. For some reason I tend to be encouraged to try and use Legends like Shaymin and Celebi but not Dialga or Giritina.
Also on a side note, am I the only one that is excited for Meloetta's eventual release? I think it's going to be an awesome Legend. Sadly I have no idea what I'll use her for though.

I leave the uber legendaries in the box and have plans on using my favorite non-uber legendaries (too bad Victini's banned in Random Match Up despite not being Uber material).

I don't ever care to use them because, as Gone & Forgotten said, it is just a handicap. But I DO love the stories that GF gives them, such as the Lugia and Ho-oh connection to the Tin and Brass Towers, how the different trios relate to the world (Dialga and Palkia representing time and space and Giratina representing anti-matter, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza representing Sea, Land, and Sky, etc.)

They make for good post-E4. I do wish that ALL legendaries be for Side Quests, post E4's, and optional adventures, even if you could still complete some during your main quest (but I digress)

Shove them in the PC for eternal darkness.

The only legendary I had ever used in real battles was Groudon in Ruby - because of his Drought ability. I taught him Solarbeam... and it was epic XDDDD

I had also used Rayquazza in Emerald once, but that was because his level was epic higher than the Elite4, so I don't count him as actual 'use'

PC with all their other Legendary buddies :p i tend to think of them as having a little box party that just never ends...

But ya, if it wasn't shunned upon, i'd love to use them! Heck the closest i ever came to that was when i was trying to EV train Mewtwo in FR and when i gave up on making a decent team for the E4 in Emerald, and just sweeping with the freshly caught Rayquaza.

They usually become my HM whores. I get a sort of schadenfreudey kick out of seeing supposedly all-powerful and revered beings performing menial tasks for my benefit or amusement.

Usually, I catch them and let them rot in the box. However, I've now gotten into the state of mind where I soft reset for anything legendary; obviously some of them I plan to use in teams (like Zapdos and Terrakion), others I just do in case I feel the need to later on (like Zekrom; especially as I think it will be useful in the VGC if they adopt VGC10-style rules again).

It always depends on which Legendary it is and whether Im liking my current team. I usually use the less OP legendaries (Suicune, Zapdos, Azelf) if im going to use a legendary at all. But most rot in the box. I always try to use them at least once, depending on my situation.

Mine just fester in a box. Well, 2 boxes, to be exact. I consider the use of legendaries in battle cheating. How little faith in your team do you have to have to feel the need to substitute over-powered Legends in place of the Pokémon you've used for the whole story? Is winning a few battles that important? I love the feeling when my not-particularly-bred-for-battle team slams a team with often 2 or 3 legends or pseudos on it.

Before generation IV I normally trained at least one of them in each version but when and after I got Pearl version I've only used 2 legendary Pokémon which is my level 1 Giratina from Sinjoh Ruins in Soul Silver version and Mew in Blue version which I got between Soul Silver and Black version. The others stay in the boxes.

Huh, overall it sounds like most Legends are doomed to a boxed up life.

You know what I'm beginning to wish now. Agree or disagree with me, I'm kind of wishing that Game Freak would make their Legend pokemon not so powerful.

Here's my idea: Game Freak should design their Legends so that they have average Pokemon stats but are still powerful (good stats like Hydregion or Dragonite) and then tack on a story of why that pokemon is Legendary. See what I did there? Make a Legendary Pokemon that is Legendary in its Lore but can still be used by people that wouldn't be considered a cheap trick with over powered stats.

This way we can have fun new Legends that can be used for all sorts of fun things without being banned/restricted and also people wont complain about them being over powered. I generally like the concept of Legends, but because they're always so powerful, people either don't want to use them or simply can't use them. So they sit in the PC for all eternity collecting dust.

So what do you guys think about my weaker Legends idea? Make them Legendary in the story and in their lore but make them not have over powered stats. That way we can find use for them! :)
