What do you name your rival?

You know what I mean, right? At the beginning of some of the games, it asks you what your rival's name is, and then you give him some demeaning and quite possibly inappropriate name. (That is, if you are anything like myself.)

In those games where my rival is a jerkface (Gary, Silver, etc.) I name him after some jerkface I had to put up with in middle school (Rex, Presely, etc.)

When he's a nicer guy, like Wally or Brendan, I name him Allen, after my friendly rival back in high school who I was always striving to try and beat.

Meh, I always name them something completely random (like I do with the PC's) that are still perfectly normal names.

In FrLg, he was Gary (yeah, I didn't want to name him after a color and Gary is the next name that pops to mind) while my PC was Stanly (completely random)

In RSE, he was Brendan (for obvious reasons) and my PC was Teia (again, completely random)

In DPPt, he was Cal (random) and the PC is Alec (again, random.) Though I'm about to restart the game with the female PC and she'll be named Amy (again, picked at random), I'll stll probably keep the rival's current name.

And in HGSS, my rival is Ian (random) and the PC is called Chris (as an homage to Pokemon Crystal. This one was actually premeditated)

Well, when I played RBY, I'd always name my rival Gary. When I played GSC, I'd name him Silver, because that's what the instruction book said he was named. But in GenIII and beyond, I'd always name them after their PokeSpe names.
