What do you think happened to the Flare Scientists?

With Sun & Moon just two weeks away, and giving us a reason to forget about X&Y for good, I was thinking about the fact they don't explain what happened to the girls that lacked personalities.

My guess is they all got buried in the rubble because they didn't have common sense.
 
I doubt they were buried, since all of them were battled in Cafe Lysandre's basement and weren't seen anywhere in the Ultimate Weapon base. They probably escaped like Xerosic did. Whether they were arrested like he was is another story, though - they might have been smart enough to avoid attention by not tricking an orphan girl into becoming a brainwashed slave.
 
They're living the good life in the Pokemon world equivalent of Monaco.

I'd rather they be dead, but alas, only Lysandre met that fate.
 
Seconding what Dustflier said. Honestly, they should've added some line from Looker or whoever about members of Team Flare being rounded up for a good long questioning. If not jail they should at least help clean up Geosenge, considering the place is apparently rendered into a giant crater (with cardboard box-looking houses tipped over along the edges, sure, if only because the obliteration of innocent peoples' homes is probably not gonna fly in a kids' game) for the rest of eternity.

But that would require XY to have a decent plot. :V
 
XY did have a decent plot in my opinion. Far better than Kanto's plot by a mile. Whatever happen to the scientists has happened even if we don't know what did happen.
 
I think that all remaining Team Flare members have eventually been captured and then sent to prison where they will get executed.
 
My headcanon is that if they didn't die in the destruction of Geosenge, then they got arrested by the Kalosian Gendarmerie, and all had to undergo de-programming to get rid of their Le Pen-style extremism. And this was the final nail in the coffin for Kalosian neo-Nazism/right-wing fascism - at least for a good while.

Now, if the blogs were open, then I could direct you all to my headcanon entry on the Kalosian characters... Anyway, this is what happens when:
  • there is a multiracial country like Kalos,
  • a right-wing fascist uses rhetoric like "a beautiful region", "beauty" and what not (*)
  • he implement genocide that is similar to Nazi Germany's "living space" (Lebensraum) doctrine.
Personally, I love how XY went to such extent to even vaguely refer to European right-wing politics like Le Pen.
(*) Thank about it: quite a number of right-wing rhetoric uses grandiose statements: Donald Trump's slogan being "Make America Great Again", or Shinzo Abe's "Towards a Beautiful Country".
 
They're models. They probably went back to modeling full-time after the events of XY. It's what they did before Team Flare.

In fact, the one Scientist that appears in the Looker Episode directly confirmed it, at least in regards to herself.

No it isn't. Completely different. Kalos is far superior to Kanto when it comes to plot, story, characters, post game and more in my opinion.
Back on topic: scientists are unlikely to come back any time soon.
 
Haven't really thought about it, but I'm gonna go ahead and say that they're now traveling around Kalos in a mobile molecular-gastronomoy-oriented pastry food truck.
 
I would say that they got themselves buried alive in among all the rubble. With all the trouble they caused it's a fate well-deserved.
