Anyway, since Caroline isn't really talked about much I'm wondering what people think of her.

I think May's family in general is wonderful, and I certainly think Caroline is a more realistic mother than Delia. The latter who I wonder about her mental stability at her age. (I mean that in a good way, Delia is quite a mystery :p)

I guess we also know where May gets her good looks from. She's quite an MILF. :D

I like Caroline. She's a nice lady. And a nosy Contestshipper, to boot. :D It's great to see two main characters belonging to such a happy family, considering that most of the others all seem to be the products of broken/disfunctional homes.
 
I liked Caroline a lot from the start. I wish May had more of her mother's good looks. It's creepy, cuz May looks so different from her mother whereas Max looks so much like his father. o_O
Excelt for the hair color, Caroline and May dont have too much in common with their looks.
 
Really? Look at the first pic. May and Caroline have practically the same face! :p
 
I like Caroline. She is a nice woman and good mother. Caroline is more mature and realistic than Delia. She thinks about her children and cares about them but doesn't say "Oh May, don't forget about your new briefs" (Delia said something like that to Ash). Caroline is very "warm" and probably has a good temper.
May looks little like her. both have brown hair and blue eyes.

exactly, although there was that little nurse joy thing ... :eh:

I like that she's not a clone of Delia, although I love Delia to death.
 
I do like the fact that Caroline was suspicious that her husband was having an affair with the Nurse Joy of Petalburg City. The fact that Caroline was going to leave the house was a nice change of pace with this series.

Funny how Max sided with his father but May sided with her Mom. Seems May is close with her Mom, and I love the fact when mothers and daughters seem awfully close. :D

We also got some nice backstory on how May's parents first met which we usually don't get on this show. I'd say that Caroline has more depth and personality than Delia does, which is kinda sad as Delia has been on this show for ages and the writers fail to do anything interesting with her.
 
I'm sure we'll gets lots on Delia if the writers ever bother to tell us who Ash's dad is.

I like that Caroline is around for the Grand Festival. She interacts with May while Delia mainly sat in the stadium with Professor Oak taking pictures, (and didn't even bother to make the trip to Hoenn.) Delia is portrayed as the loving mother, yet with another aspect that stops her being a stereotype. (See her reactions to the Orange League Trophy.)
 
Maybe Delia can't afford to go, and the only reason she went to the few she did was because Oak was paying for it. I'm sure Oak would front the money to let her go see Ash if he had the time and the money.
 
And since when was money an issue in the anime?

It was probably a matter of distance, if anything.
 
Or maybe Ash doesn't need his little Mommy following him around everywhere he goes.

Ash is grown up now, he doesn't need Delia following him around making sure he changes his underwear.
 
We're talking about watching a tournament, not travelling around with him. :rolleyes: Delia is very proud of Ash and I presume Caoline is proud of May as well.

Yeah, distance probably would be the greater factor.
