I am sure many of you have been exposed to at least one Gotta Catch 'em All joke at some point. They include things like "Gotta Look Up 'em All" (for article titles and whatnot) and "You could say they caught 'em all" (for purchasing every game or something similar). They are still fairly common these days, but what are your opinions on them? Do you find them hilarious? Do they make you feel like you want to slap your forehead? Or are you neutral on this matter?

For me, I don't like those kind of gags at all. I find them so dated and so stuck in the past I don't find them even remotely funny. I think they lack originality, and they just don't do it for me whenever I hear or come across one.

What are your thoughts on these jokes?

I like them when they're used in a genuinely funny way, or are running gags. If they get overused I don't like them as much, though.

I don't like them. They're just too overused. Every time someone tries to make a Pokémon-related joke, they seem to turn to that tagline first.

Its OK. The original works fine for a few things already. For example:
Terrorists
Horcruxes
Fly Balls

It depends on the joke; most of them are okay. They're becoming a lot less common, which keeps them from getting cliche.

Just one sticks out: Ash Ketchum

But ever since the series stopped using the line (in Ruby and Sapphire), the jokes too got old.
