Do you like them?

Rate them on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest, 1 the lowest, and 5 being at the limit of acceptable.

I'm going to go for a 7 out of 10.

A lot of Grass types are cute, like Roselia, Sunflora, and Lilligant. For me though, a lot of the time they aren't as strong as the other types.

I like a lot of grass-type Pokémon. My favorites include Breloom, Tropius, Gogoat, Shaymin the starter families; especially Sceptile and Meganium, Leafeon etc. However, they have too many weaknesses and are resisted by too many types for me to consider them very useful battle wise compared to other types. Though I'll admit that they're great against those bulky ground/rock, rock/water, and water/ground dual types. I'd have to give grass-types a 6/10.

I like using grass-types mainly for their bulkiness, but the occasional sweeper is also nice to use. From a design perspective, there's only two or three I'm not fond of, though one of my favorite Pokémon, Skiddo, is a grass-type, so that helps.

I suppose I'd rate the group a 7/10. A lot of powerful grass-attacks have some sort of recoil to them, so that's a hindrance, but I can always find a nice niche for one on my team.

Admittedly, Grass is my least favorite type. Growing up, I was convinced that it's weak to EVERYTHING! Granted, that was my own fault, pretty much for learning type weaknesses from Bulbasaur, who is weak to Psychic, additionally, but not the Grass-type, itself. Regardless, Grass still has far too many weaknesses, many types that resist it, and they hardly learn any other moves that are not Grass type, leading to some pretty pathetic coverage. I like some Grass-types, like Gogoat, Shaymin, Roserade, and Lilligant, namely, and a few others, but as a whole, I can't say I like the type that much at all.

It's a 1 for me.

Grass types are underrated as fuck

There's so much diversity in the designs, the designs range from tough to cute to elegant to creepy, and they reflect such a wide range of habitats and ways of life. Grass types also tend to have some of the most creative designs in game imo

Battle wise they really don't deserve the bad rap they have, they may have a lot of weaknesses but their strong points more than compensate. As long as water and ground types remain as popular as they are, grass types will always have something to contribute to their team (and the idea that Ice Beam makes them useless is a complete joke).

They get a 9/10 from me

It's my personal favorite type. They're not always the best in battle due to their fairly common weaknesses, but there's so much variety in their designs and methods of playing that it makes up for it for me. You have Solar Power/Chlorophyl sweepers, SubSeed stallers, physical tanks, supporters, etc. And when it comes to their designs, they range from being adorable to awesome to creepy to downright strange. It helps that the designers have an extremely wide variety of real-life plants (and similar organisms) to work with, so I doubt they'll ever run out of ideas.

8/10 I wish I could rate them higher, but I like I said, generally their weaknesses get the better of them. :/

I think the Grass type has the most types to resist it, right (along with the Bug type)? That sucks. But it's also super-effective against some significant types, and it resists some key types as well.

Plus there are strong Pokémon like Sky Forme Shaymin, cool Pokémon like Breloom & Trevenant, and cute Pokémon like Skiddo. And one of my favorite Pokémon, Roserade, is a Grass-type Pokémon.

So yeah, I think I like Grass types a lot. 8/10

It's my favorite type, also one of the types of my favorite Pokemon, Venusaur, and my second favorite Pokemon, Celebi. I really love using Grass types because, due to their number of weaknesses, you have to think of ways to get around them, and they have such diversity. There's subseeders, Chlorophyll sweepers, mixed tanks, paraflinchers and more. In design it's also my favorite. There's cute ones, beautiful ones, creepy ones and awesome ones. In concept I'm probably a bit biased as I tend to favor the plant-based classes in games and franchises. (ex: the school of Life in Wizard101 and the element of Air in Bionicle) I give 'em 10/10

I like a lot of Grass types. Venusaur is a personal favorite of all of them. I like a lot of the other Grass starters, too.

I wager a lot of people hate them purely for the matter that Grass has the most weaknesses of any of the other types. I've never been into competitive, so it doesn't matter to me.

My favorite Type of all is Grass. It all started in 2nd Gen with the addition of Bellossom (My favorite Pokémon of all ever since), and I also played a monotype Grass challenge in Gold which made me get very accustomed to many of its members, as well as play them to their strengths. While they may have many weaknesses and a lot of Types resist them, Grass Pokémon have many great support options, which makes them quite difficult to deal with. As such, having shallow movepools is rarely a setback in their case, as they can still provide very good support. They are strong against the prevalent Water type, and has one big advantage over Electric with the plus of being the only Type that can hit Water/Ground for quadruple damage. They're also fairly bulky most of the time, so they rarely fear Water's coverage attacks. It also has a lot of variety on the Pokémon belonging to it and many cool combinations with other Types, with many different roles to fulfill and with better and cooler improvements in each passing Generation. Key resistances to Ground and Water are also great plus points for Grass. It's an awfully underrated Type, but it has a very unique roster and a definite core of strengths few can appreciate, so anyone willing to give them a chance is bound to be surprised.

I give the Grass Type a 10/10. Personal bias and all, but it's also a great Type when all's said and done.

I'd rate Grass types as a 7 out of 10.

Although it's not my favorite type there are many pokes in that category that I love using like Leafeon, Breloom, Venusaur, Shiftry, Cacturne, Abomasnow, Leavanny, Gogoat, Trevenant, Gourgeist........Hmm, I suppose I like grass type pokes a lot more then I originally thought. xD

Grass types are alright, not one of the best types in my book but some grass type Pokemon designs are pretty creative,Like the Turtwig evolution line for an example.I pretty much see a grass type pokemon,or at least,a grass type move necessary on any team due to some competitive threats are weak to them, and it is pretty much Rotom W's (A pretty common OU threat) only weakness.
6.5/10

6.7/10

I think they are very under-represented and under-powered. I also believe that some stat changes should be done to some grass-type Pokemons like Meganium (increase its defense and special defense). Also I think grass-types should resist fairy-type attacks as grass represents nature and fairies seem to dwell or rely in nature. For Gen VII, I would love to see a grass-type pseudo-legendary. Something that could rival Garchomp's offensive prowess.

Well...they are green, which is my favorite color...strong against Water, Rock, Ground...weak against Fire, Flying, Bug...

My favourite type so I love them. Roserade, Sceptile, Ludicolo, Serperier and the like.

7/10 they were pretty bland in the first two gens, the exceptions being Venusaur and Victreebell. I really like Sceptile and Shiftry as well as the new ghost/plant duals from Kalos.
