What do you think the fate of Ash's Gible is?

There was speculation Gible would evolve by the league quickly like how fast Snorunt evolved into Glalie, but that didn't happen.

I still don't really understand what the point of a last-minute capture like Gible was. It got no Gym battle and its only important fight is against Conway in the league.

If Ash just leaves Gible at Oak's lab when DP ends, I'm kinda gonna wonder, "That's it?" for Gible.

Really seems odd for the writers to give Ash a dragon type, the same Pokemon owned by Cynthia no less, and have its capture come so late where it seemingly served not much purpose.
 
He should've evolved before the league like Snorunt did... in fact both of them were Pokemon that had problems learning an attack. I still hope Gible will evolve during a league battle... like immediately after pulling off Draco Meteor once and for all.
 
It does seem the Conway battle is it's sole purpose now. I wouldn't mind too much if we don't see it for a long time. Especially since we're evidently getting another Dragon type in the next arc. I don't think it'll end up following Aipom rules. Whatever happens in a week from now is what we're going to get, for better or worse.
 
Why can't Ash catch two dragon types?
I just have this feeling, Gibles going to pull an Aipom on us.
I'm taking bets here.
 
i hope it evolves...but...if it doesnt...i wouldnt b surprised. the writers have a good way of screwing with us. he gets a great pokemon...and doesnt use it/get it to evolve. im still wondering how it would have been had he caught haunter back in lavender town in season 1. its alot of 'what ifs' when it comes to ash. like what if he woulda caught the larvatar b4 the silver conference...yeah he coulda left it a oak's like he did all his others...but it could have did like cyndaquil and evolve like that. i still wish they'd evolve corphish into crawdawnt...he still hasnt had a dark-type yet. ugh...so many 'what ifs'...

I find it taking a similar route to Aipom...only, it won't get traded to some stupid ping pong man in the future >_>

I can never see Ash with a Garchomp unless he grows a couple of inches and some facial hair, but having gible evolve into a gabite would be awesome~
 
Gible may end up as the new Phanpy, as in it was caught very late in to a region, was not used in a gym match, was only used in one league match (it is possible), etc. but then brought back.
I don't know if the writers are really going to neglect it learning Draco Meteor plotline. I mean, Ash literally spent a dozen episodes trying to perfect the pokemon's moves. If he just Oaks the pokemon, or if Gible just suddenly learns how to use a perfect Draco Meteor with no further instruction, then that's the writers' fault.
Ash could suddenly remember that Gible needs to learn Draco Meteor and for that reason bring it to Isshu, and have it be the new Aipom for a while, then release it. Don't know. It is possible that the Gible line might have a new evo in Gen V (Gible is among the four pokemon CoroCoro recommended to capture in HGSS Safari Zone to "prepare for the new titles.")
We're going to see the fate of this pokemon when the time comes. Either he'll Oak it or bring it with him to Isshu.
 
I really hope Gible doesn't get released. They brought back Gliscor, so Ash hasn't released a Pokemon since Lapras.
 
I really hope it gets Oaked because then we'd have security and the knowledge that it's home with his trainer's family. But if Corocoro said that it would be wise to catch it for BW then it probably is gonna come and have an alternate evo so it could end up like Aipom.

Did they really say that? :D makes me glad I get my copy of Platinum on Monday or Tuesday. If he does get an alternate evo, it would be interesting and I do hope Ash takes it with him.
 
Gible will definitely be oak at the end of DP and that's it, Gible's purpose was to make fans happy, a lot of people wanted Ash to have a Gible and the writers granted them what they want
 
I think that if it doesn't evolve after the Conway battle and get used against Cynthia or whatever, it should do a Cyndaquil and evolve before the next league. It would be too much of a waste otherwise
 
I think that Gible will appear in Ash's final battle against Paul when it will perfect Draco Meteor (and possibly evolve into Gabite).
 
If he doesn't master Draco Meteor in DP185, which he most likely won't;

I hope they will resolve his plot anytime soon, and it doesn't become another Totodile("I will evolve you into Feraligatr!"... "I actually lied :D!").
