What do you think will become of Angie and Conway?

Now that the summer school arc is over in the dub, what do you think will become of Angie and Conway in the anime?

The thing about them is they're not considered rivals in the same way that Paul/Jun/Zoey/Kenny are, and for the most part we don't even know if Conway is collecting badges.

Do you think the writers may make Conway or Angie into real rivals in the show, or just keep them as they are now and just have them show up every so often? I tend to wonder if they have anything special planned for them, or if they're just secondary characters for the hell of it.
 
I assume they're just secondary characters. While I'm amused by Conway's creepiness, he wouldn't be good in larger doses.
 
Maybe they just wanted to establish some secondary characters without the baggage of having them battle in the competitions at the end of the saga? I'm thinking the writers believe if they have too many rivals, the tourneys would become too cluttered.

That'd be kickass to see Conway in the league, though. Possibly have him lose to Paul or Jun, since not everyone can battle Ash. XD
 
I would say we wouldn't see Aoi again, but her parents do want her to marry Satoshi, so we might she her at the league. One more episode at the most with her.

Kouhei is trickier. I definitely think we'll see him a few more times, but I have no clue what the writers are planning with him. I don't think he's collecting badges, just going around doing nerdy things since his character seems to be based on the Super Nerd game character.
 
I'd be disappointed if they were dropped like Holly was, I really did think she would appear again but at this point I've given up on that.

I think the only problem now is that Sinnoh is almost over, we're nearly at Snowpoint and I figure after they'll be too busy wrapping up the Galactic plot, stuff with Pokehunter J, and the last few evolutions for the gangs Pokemon to do many more eps about other characters.

I honestly don't expect to see these characters in the arc after Sinnoh, except for Dawn's rivals (they'll likely be kept like May's were), and possibly Paul, but if Ash does beat Paul in the league he may be written out too. Hmmm.
 
Holly "was dropped"? You said that about Nando too and that was proved to be wrong (well it was just a little cameo but it obviously mean he'll appear again)
So if Nando can return after so much time... and even Roark after about 100 episodes - sure Holly can too
 
I don't think we'll see Aoi (Angie) again which is a shame because she's a fun character. She may make a silent cameo showing she's watching Ash in during the Sinnoh League, but that's about it.

I would love to see Conway compete in the Sinnoh League against Ash, but that probably won't happen, but I would just be happy if he shows up again.
 
I really don't want to see Conway again. He's even more annoying than Brock (and Brock at least has Croagunk to calm him down, Conway, unfortunately has no one to calm him down).
As for Angie, well, as I mentioned in another thread, Angie IMO is female version of Ash and even though it would be nice to see her again, I don't really care too much about her.
 
Both are unpredictable, unlike Holly. And yes, I'd put Jun, Zoey, Kenny, and Nando as unpredictable too.

It'd be appropriate to give Angie a cameo, I don't mind her as much.

Since the league is a standard single-elimination tournament, after all (at least under assumption)
 
Everything becomes fun when Conway's around. I almost wonder if the producers realized this, since they actually bothered bringing him back even though he's nobody's rival and we don't even know what he wants to be.

I like to think of him as a Pokemon Freelancer. He dabbles in a bit of battles, dabbles in other areas... whatever he's up to for the moment. I'd love for him to be a rival of Dawn, but the show seems content with keeping the boring trio steady throughout the show. Honestly, though, you might say he's Bulbapedia itself, personified. He does love throwing information about like a living Pokedex.

But in all seriousness, yes. I want Conway to come back. It's almost a guaranteed good time if he's around.

As for Angie, I would like her to make future appearances as well. I fear she may go the way of Anabel, but I'll stay optimistic and hope she returns when it's League time. It's only appropriate. Between her, Paul, and Jun, there would definitely be no need for those throwaway last-minute rivals this season.
 
I really hope we get to see Conway again. I want him to enter a contest with Dawn.

Eh, I'm not too sure about Angie though.
 
It'd be interesting if Angie showed up at the Sinnoh League to watch Ash, and Conway at the Grand Festival to see Dawn.

I really dont have much interest in them, they're mini-plots are just repeated over and over. Like Angie with so her tomboy-ness and Conway with his stalking. Its was funny at first, but I think more appearances would be pushing it. Im happy if all they get is cameos.
 
I don't care either way about Angie, even though (after actually watching it and not being all "but what are they even DOING at a summer school?" because that just...didn't really seem to fit for some reason, I'm not sure why) the summer school arc was admittedly cute.

I do want Conway goodness, though, because he's awesome. But...if he just does nothing different, or there's no development, I'll lose interest entirely in him.

But before Conway, I think we need to see Kenny again (please don't derail this into a whole topic about Kenny though.) because the last time he actually appeared was...Saturn's premiere episode (IIRC, though he might've been in one before that.)

that being said, if Conway appeared again, I'd be celebrating, and if Angie appeared again, it's not like I'd particularly mind.
 
I think popularity was the reason why Conway was brought back in the first place. Perhaps it was originally intended that he would be a one-shot that was paired with Dawn and that would be that, however, the fans found him extremely likeable, and thus, he was upgraded to re-occuring character.

If they decide to have another "non-game" event arc, they might bring him back for that as well. I think that's his place.
 
I can't think of any other events they might do, maybe another tag-battle arc sometime? They could bring Holly back if they do.
 
Seriously, Holly is done. She is not coming back. Wishful thinking, she would've shown up at least once where Conway has shown up.
 
Actually, I think Holly's non-appearence only draws the gag out further.

Imagine this: There is a girl out there who actually likes Brock, but Brock and pals will never run into her again.
 
Well actually, would it not be a fun shock to see Brock looking at the girl who actually liked him once more?

And on topic, I honestly would not like to see Angie come back to the anime, but there is still that nagging amount of a chance she would have a cameo at one point of Ash's rivals...
 
I for my part would luv to see more of Angie/Aoi and you can't really say she's like Anabel/Lila anymore cuz she at least has/had another Ep to appear in but this is it so far and for a return in Shinnoh finals well I already play around with the thinking that Haruka and maybe Angie/Aoi and Kasumi return there to cheer on Satoshi.

For Conway/Kohaku he sure shows up in one or two more Eps if you ask me.
