How far will Ash come in the Sinnoh league.
I say he will be in Top 4

and I also say that he will beat Paul at the Sinnoh league, just when his Monferno evolves to Infernape, he will crush his Torrtera, and Pikachu, Staraptor, Gliscor, and his Charizard, Tauros, Muk, Kingler, Heracross, Bayleaf, Bulbasuer, Grotle, Noctowl, Torkoal, Donphan, Glalie, Sceptile and others will go far.

I think/hope: Ash use ALL of his Poké both Sinnoh and olds and use each of his Poké at least once, while the focus is mainly on the Sinnoh ones and secondary on the Johto ones
The final battle of the league is Ash VS Paul
Ash use his Sinnoh team only
The end of the battle is Pikachu/Monferno->Infernape (evolve during battle) VS Electivire/Magmortar (double battle)
Ash beat Paul and win the whole league
Paul begins to realize he was wrong (with some build up before of course) and Ash give him his soothe bell (I'd like Ash to huge Paul out of happiness he's changing and Paul to get scared and run away, but I know it won't happen XD )
Paul possibly join the group to learn about the twerps way of treating Poké
Ash then go to challenge the E4 - beat them and lose to Cynthia and then go to the Johto BF

I am really pulling for Ash to win the league this time. If he doesn't, then waiting another 5+ years for the 5th gen league is going to be annoying.

The writers made us wait 11 years for Ash to win a regular league, can we please finally see this happen? I am so damn old now that I want to see Ash win a league before I have kids. :/

Lol..it'd be amusing to see Ash win a League when I finish college..after I started watching in the 3rd greade..XD

Though I'm hopefull there's a possibility Ash'll triumph over the Shinou League, or atleast get really far in it. Aslong as it isn't a disappointment like the Hoenn League was and we get even more battles, I'm cool with it. We don't know what's in store after the League, if it is the DPP Battle Frontier, who says that winning that and not the League could give Ash the chance to battle the Shinou Elites or something?

But I'd like it to be Ash wins the League, takes on the Battle Frontier in preparation for the Elite Challenge and then takes said challenge on and gets far.

I am sure it's impossible Ash will use his old Pokémon. Just like in Hoenn League, he will only use his Sinnoh team.
And I don't see Ash vs. Paul battle in Sinnoh League. I think writers will do what they did in Indigo League with Gary, let him lose to someone. But unlike in Indigo, I hope this time will Ash beat the one who beat Paul and I hope Paul will watch it. I also hope this one will be either Nando or Barry (more preffer Nando, can't imagine Barry to beat Paul anytime soon). And yes, I still see Nando will participate in both Grand Festival and Sinnoh League. I think Ash can made it to Top 4, but not better then this and he'll beat both Barry and Nando. I don't see realisticly Ash vs. Elite 4. That's nonsense IMO.

Wow. You've been so preoccupied with your Jouto-hatin' that I haven't heard this one in ages!

See it this way...In Indigo Plateu he was in top 16
in Silver and Hoenn under Top 8
In Sinnoh he will be under Top 4
In Gen. V he will manaage to the finals
and win the league in Gen. VI.

The boy still has a long way to go.

I just wanna teach my childern about pokemon.

If the writers are "smart" enough to realize that beating a League isn't all that big a deal, then I hope Ash wins it, of course what standard would that set. If Ash were to win the Sinnoh League, we'd have an expectation of him to win every league afterwards.

As long as it's top 4 or better, if its top 8 or worse, then Ash's story doesn't deserve to continue, since it's obvious Ash will never improve.

If Ash doesn't beat Paul in the finals than all that Elite 4 build-up was a waste of time. If they didn't heavily showcase the Sinnoh Elite 4...it wouldn't feel like such a big disappointment if he loses.

At least until he realizes rebooting his team every region is WHY he keeps losing. I'm still confident he could've beaten Tyson and won the Hoenn League were it not for his self-imposed handicap.

I do actually think he will win this one. Simply because they explained how challenging the Elite Four works. The old "Ash loses in League every region" running theme might be replaced with a significantly less annoying "Ash wins every League then loses to Elite Four/Champion".

I agree. They seem to be showing off this Elite Four a good deal more then the others. Of course, considering Ho-oh and the GS ball, the writers would have to go a long way shock me with their ability to ignore things they foreshadowed.
Plus, Paul would make a great final opponent in the league compared to people like Tyson and Harrison or Richie, who basically popped out of nowhere to beat him.

I see Hoenn as top 4
He proved he could do as good with his new Poké as he could with the experienced ones - if he'd use the old ones too in Hoenn, he'd probably get top 4
So I see Hoenn as if it was top 4

Elite 4 build up? I didn't really notice that.
And the fact is Ash is nowhere near to the point where he can win League Tournament. Not with his typical "I will use only this region Pokémon" theme. Maybe once he (or writers) will realize what's wrong with this, maybe then he can win League. But not now. He still is not strong and mature enough for League win.

I think he and Paul will make it into the top 16 or top 8, and then Ash will beat Paul and lose to the next person. That is assuming they want to wrap up Paul as a major rival. If he's still going to be a rival after the series, I see Ash making it to the top 8 or the top 4, but either losing to Paul (who would lose in the next round) or not even battling him.

If I ruled the world, Ash and Paul would make it to the semifinals, battle, and then Ash loses in the finals. But I don't see that likely.

No one said Ash won't use his old Poké
Even if he'll use only his new Poké, he can still win
And one have to be blind to not see the obvious E4 build up
Tyson won a league and he didn't seem SO much better than Ash was at that time...

No one said Ash won't use his old Poké
Sorry me, but it's stupid to believe writers will let Ash use his old Pokémon. That will never happen. Logic, my friend, that's simple logic. And of cource, knowledge how this show works.
Even if he'll use only his new Poké, he can still win
No way. Though I admitt Ash's Sinnoh team is the best he ever had, there's still no way he can defeat strong Pokémon without his usuall powerhouses such as Charizard, Snorlax or Taurus.
And one have to be blind to not see the obvious E4 build up
Then call me blind, because I still don't see this.

Then why they didn't have Ash clearly state it like in Hoenn?
And if Ash does finally win a league - it only makes sense to let all his Poké to paricipate
I won't say it's sure he'll use them - but it's not a fact he won't use them either...

I can't see why it'd be IMPOSSIBLE for the Sinnoh team to win a league
Drew got second place in what (as far as we know) was his first GF ever

Then call me blind, because I still don't see this.

Then why all of a sudden they bother to show all the E4 members? why they bothered to explain how one officially challenges them? why they have Ash repeat again and again he'll battle them?..... they clearly use such hints and build up a lot in DP... Aipom/Buizel trade... Chimchar...

One have to be blind to not see the obvious fact Tyson was strong and more mature Ash is even now.

I don't see how Tyson was showcased as extremely strong... he didn't seem SO much stronger than Ash was at that time... and Ash is even better now
Ash's Torkoal - one of the most neglected Poké - almost beat a legendary! Why then a well trained team doesn't even have a little chance to win a league?

The whole Tyson>Ash thing is fail. Ash proved that in the Battle Frontier. Personally, I think he is mature enough to conquer the Shinou League. He's development with his current team has shown that.

It also seems like some people forget - WHO are the competitors in the Sinnoh league?
- Trainers who got to the first league in their life (like Ash in Kanto)
- Experienced trainers like Ash who most of them probably are more or less on the same level as him
It's not like all the comperiroters are E4 members or something (and even the E4 aren't so "unbeatable")

Then why they didn't have Ash clearly state it like in Hoenn?

I won't say it's sure he'll use them - but it's not a fact he won't use them either...
Then why writers never brought any of his old Pokémon for important battle in Sinnoh (don't count Aipom of course)? That way, they can show he has no problem to use his old Pokémon this time. And, even though this is slightly my personal opinion, it was lame how in Johto League Ash dropped most of his Johto team for his old Pokémon and I doubt writers are willing to repeat this mistake again. Ash will not use his old Pokémon untill filler saga. And I can willingly bet on this.
I can't see why it'd be IMPOSSIBLE for the Sinnoh team to win a league
So, sorry me I don't want to see anything like Piplup vs. Prinplup or Piplup vs. Glaceon battles again. These were IMO the ones of the worst writen battles in the history of Pokémon anime. Of course Ash can win if writers will ingnore all realism, but I hope they will not. Especially after that great Ash vs. Paul battle where it was made clear Paul had the edge on Ash for the whole Battle. And I doubt Ash can improve enough in such short time.

Don't see this parallel. Writers were criticised how they didn't handle Elite 4 members and Champions properly in past gens and especially in Hoenn. I guess this is pure "sorry guys we ignored them in past" from writers. Still don't get it as any real hint, because I still see more hints why this will not happen.
I don't see how Tyson was showcased as extremely strong... he didn't seem SO much stronger than Ash was at that time...
I suggest you to rewatch Hoenn League again and concentrate on Tyson, his personality and his strong team. That's a whole different league than Ash is.
Ash's Torkoal - one of the most neglected Poké - almost beat a legendary! Why then a well trained team doesn't even have a little chance to win a league?
I will repeat myself, but Ash will not use well trained team. See above why.
