Digital artist here (Pixel Artist to be particular). I use... a mouse and sometimes trackpad... yep. I track on Piskel which lets you import sprites, which I use to build off of and as such! I also doodle on Pencil and Paper, but that's completely separate from my normal stuff.

I use procreate. I primarily make digital art, especially for school work, but I also draw traditionally from time to time. Usually with a pencil.

I'm a primarily digital artist-- I use an XPen tablet and photoshop. When I do traditional (which I haven't much lately), I usually use coloured pencils for colouring, standard pencil for sketch, and maybe a lineart pen, but I haven't seen my lineart pens in ages soooo

I use a Huion Kamvas 16 display tablet with Krita on Linux, for digital. For traditional, I use a set of Pentel GraphGear 500 mechanical pencils and a Pilot MP fountain pen.

I met a friend who draws with an iPad and having a tablet you can take with you for digital drawing seems really handy. I was window shopping on eBay for a secondhand tablet with a good pen, but I haven't been able to justify the price.

Historically just on paper. The pixel art has more been a step to get closer to a "Pokemon" aesthetic.

Some 3D models have been posed for reference. But lacking the skillset to draw textures or render new outfits, they're not really meant to represent the character's definitive look.
