How many of you have watched the first season of Pokemon? How many of you saw the Diglett/Dugtrio one? If you look carefully, you'll notice that Diglett and Dugtrio never get the bottom part of their bodies on screen! And it's not just the anime either. If you've ever played Pokemon Stadium, you'll notice that whenever Diglett or Dugtrio get hit by an attack that makes them fly in the air, there's a little bit of dirt that flys up with them, and their lower half is still covered! I know we'll never know for sure, but I wanna know what you guys think! Is it kinda like a mole? Maybe a little mass of legs? Leave some feedback for me!
 
There's a screenshot of an anime where Brock holds up a 'rock plate' of Dugtrio. Hang on, I'll find it in a moment and edit this...
 
I think it has some kind of claws. But we never see them.

I went all the way back to find the original screenshot in "Caption the Screenshot" corner but it disappeared...anyways, here's the pic I retreived from another place.

If Dugtrio can exist on such a flat plate, I doubt they'd have any sort of more body than they already have....
 
You mean they finally showed it?!? I've been waiting for years for that! It's always made me so mad not to know. I've drawn digglet a lot before with claws and spikes. Somewhat like Lucarios spikes going from it's neck to it's tail.

Anyways that's so weird. I forget who it was that mentioned it on here but they think that the dirt is it's feet. I'm pretty sure it was in a blog.
 
I definitely think Diglett has claws or something underground.. then again, we may be blowing this way out of proportion and what we see may be all there is.
 
Honestly, guys, let's be logical. What animal is brown, burrows underground, and has a large pink-ish nose? That's right, a mole. I'm guessing Diglett would look a little something like this:

Pretty logical answer. I think they have some sort of claws and maybe a bit longer of a tail. it could be something we'll never know.

I agree with this. I would also assume dugtrio would just be a bigger version of this with 3 heads.

I like to imagine it as a perfect sausage shape, with little cartoony stub paws. :3
