What Does It mean when you turn on a GBA game...

And you get blocky letters where its supposed to say nintendo. Mine works fine now, but I was wondering what that was about. Note I got it used awhile back.
 
Usually it just means that the game cartridge isn't inserted in all of the way. Happened to me a few times back in the days of GBC.
 
Ok good. I was worried the cartridge may have been dying.

EDIT: But the cartridge was in my gameboy the whole time 0_0.

Way back in the old Nintendo days, you could take the game out and blow into it, and that would clear it up (sometimes, anyway). Not sure if it really works, but I do it when my games are screwy. Seems to work.
 
Thats exactly what I did, lol. I guess it gets the dust out or something.
 
Mine does that sometimes. Try blowing into the cartridge like GrnMarvl13 said, or blow into the GBA itself. It works for me.
