Hey!
When someone say "Pokémon", or ask you that do you like Pokémon, what do you usually think the person is talking about? The games, or the anime/movies?

To me it's the anime & movies. (Maybe cause games aren't popular here, and I got to know about them much after I saw the anime).

The games, really. Then the anime, then the manga. Even though I prefer PokeSpe to the anime.

9 times out of 10 when people talk about Pokemon with me, their referring to the games.
All my friends play the Pokemon video games but nobody I meet ever really talks about or even really likes the Anime, Movies, or TCG.
That's fine by me anyways because all I care about is the main series games anyways.

pocket monsters

no srsly, it means adventure and excitement for me and an addictive rpg experience

I always think about the games. I know of tons of people that play the games still but no longer watch the anime. I never think about the manga because I don't really like manga. Actually I wasn't even aware that there was a Pokemon manga until about a year ago.

The universe, mainly. When I think of Pokemon, I think of a universe that houses the Pokemon, the humans living alongside them and the legends. Each of the Pokemon has their own brand of significance as well. Some of them have great competitive battling value, some of them have great utility in everyday life, some of them have a colourful and rich origin, and some of them are just all-around great for their novelty value. It keeps my interest in the Pokemon world going.

Thanks for reading.

Life.
Mostly the world of Pokemon, then the games, and to a lesser extent the anime.

In terms of the different forms the franchise takes.. The games. I hold their fact above that of the anime or films.

In terms of immediate reaction... The concept and social/biological world itself.

Since I spend a lot of my uneventful life looking at fanfictions, I think about characters and how they are portrayed in stories, which is mostly based off of anime/manga. However, some stories have demented my vision of some characters...

As do I.

Pokemon to me means growth. I grew up with it, when you play you watch as your character grows, watch the anime and see how Ash/companions grow into better trainers, even the pokemon themselves grow into more experienced beings, evolving and growing along the way.

Pokemon actually teaches you alot of stuff to live by, treating others with respect, learning from your experiences and simply being an honest and good person. Pokemon can teach us alot, and that means the world to me

To someone who is still into it: the games.

To those who become nostalgic the second it's brought into the conversation: the entire franchise (minus manga).
