What does season 2 have in store for Ash/Satoshi?

I saw a tread on him earlier and it was closed, but the one who closed it said he could use his own thread. So what to you think.

will he become his d/p self
will he get better
or will he be the same black and white ash

With him entering the tournament, I see him getting back to his old D/P self, I also see him bringing back his old Pokemon for this. Hey'll use his new ones for the league, I think if he uses them he could do pretty good. I'm also excited about Dawn telling old storys about Ash's adventures, should have the others gain a whole lot more respect for him ^
Than of course, Team Rocket/Meloetta/Ash storyline her having a crush on him, some funny reactions with that. Sees like big things are in store for Ash this season.

I hope Ash returns to his AG/DP self. Right now, I'm watching Best Wishes to catch up and he acts like in his Kanto days.

As for the Pokemon League, I think he is most likely to use his Unova Pokemon rather than his reserves at Pallet. Cause I think he mentioned in a Episode of AG that he wants to use the Pokemon he caught in the region because he worked hard on training them.

As for the Pokemon League, I think he is most likely to use his Unova Pokemon rather than his reserves at Pallet. Cause I think he mentioned in a Episode of AG that he wants to use the Pokemon he caught in the region because he worked hard on training them.

Ash has to return to his old self when he was challenging Battle Frontier and participated in Sinnoh League. Otherwise there is no any chance for Ash to win something (especially World Junior Cup). Just hope we won't see Kenny from DP anymore. For now Ash doesn't have respect from Iris because she and Cilan don't know anything about Ash, his past and his abilities and what he achieved. Maybe when Dawn will return that will somehow change in time. There are two options:

1) Ash participates in World Cup. Shirona also participates. There is a very high chance to see Ash VS Shirona battle (ofcourse Shirona will win). Chance of returning Charizard and battle between him and Garchomp. After the World Cup Shirona challenges Adeku and beats him.
2) Shirona doesn't participate in World Cup. Ash participates there. Goes to finals or semi-finals but looses to a guy like Takuto. Then Ash goes to Unova League, wins it and finally challenges Adeku.

Something tells me that one way or another we are gonna see a battle between Shirona and Satoshi.

I haven't watched all the Episodes of the League due to the fact I stopped at some point in Diamond and Pearl. Once I have time, I'll probably watch couple of DP Episodes.

As for Iris, she's really annoying. The "what a kid" phrase is what annoys me. I hope Cynthia and Dawn tell Iris and Cilan (Dento) about Ash's past so Iris can STFU understand already.

And , It will reveal that Ash was merely playing around in season 1 and didn't show his true skill .
And this time
He will stop having embarrassing Defect !
He will only lose to important trainer like Cynthia.
And Defect Trip without any effort !
After all, If a Rocky like Trip can beat Ash without effort then why can't Ash beat him without effort !
Why Ash has to straggle to beat Trip but Trip doesn't has to Straggle to beat Ash ???

Because the japanese concept for "rival" is: "Someone you want to fight against because you can't defeat him/her, but he/she can trash you about as many times as humanly possible". But, yeah, I'm hoping for a girl this time, too.

I'm resigned that Ash won't regain his DP abilities, but will do good enough at the tournament. None of his old gen pokemon will appear until the Unova league, because this tournament can be a chance to finally take the Unova Team to an acceptable level.

About plot: I hope Ash have a good role and, in fact, FINALLY goes against Giovanni in battle! These two just NEED to fight! Since meloetta is apparently a key to Giovanni's kami trio plan, I'd like to see she/it and Ash have a good interaction (based on the spoilers, they most probably will) and real action to Cilan, Iris (maybe Dawn) and all the gang's pokemon.

Yeah, i'm kinda too hopeful.

You know , People are often saying that BW Ash & DP Ash are totally different .
So ,Writer should somehow proved that DP Ash is Back in action in Season 2 !
Defecting Trip & proving his superiority over him is the 1st step .
Because , No matter how good Ash battle's in season 2 as long as the fact that ''A Rocky is superior then him'' hanging over his head , Nobody will see BW Season 2 Ash and DP Ash as the same person !
-Writer half kill Best Wish when They let Trip beat Ash for the Second time.
-Then He Fully Killed Best wish when They ruined Ash gym Battle with Elesa .
So , hopefully they learn their lesson from those 2 episode and they wouldn't try those idiotic idea with Ash again !

We have to see either Champions League (Sinnoh I think) challenging or World Cup. Ash is from Kanto and at first it will seem logical to challenge Champions League there but somehow I don't want to see it. I want to see Ash beating Lucian, Bertha, Flint and Aaron and finally challenging Cynthia. I want to see his triumph against her and Charizard VS Garchomp as the final battle. That would be awesome, don't you think? Yes Ash has bunch of very strong pokemon like Swallow, Sceptile, Snorlax but Charizard is different. It is the triumph card of Ash and Charizard only can give Garchomp a tough fight. Maybe Ash will capture Dragointe though in BW2 but I doubt it.

It'd make sense for his D/P skills to come back around a pro tournament like this, before its just playing around with a bunch of newbies. I mean, why should Ash care about what these guys think? Maybe Dento since hes a gym leader but he beat him so. Iris on the other hand, is just a stubern little girl who judging from the previews doesn't seem to know about Pokemon outside her region. I am hopping Ash kind of gets her back and says " Your such a kid Iris!" That'd be epic!

I don't know, for such events like this he might use his past Pokemon and try and be better for this type of tournament. I mean hes going against some pros, so he wouldn't want look bad like that in front of them. Guess will wait and see but I'm hopping for that, than he can use his Unova Pokemon in the league.

Well...as Ash is acting like nothing happened between Johto to Sinnoh, and the fact that it seems like he never met anyone other than his Kanto partners, but this seems that it got retconned to Ash remembering Dawn and Cynthia, it seems that this will cause a huge time paradox where now Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh has happened, Ash has got older, he met Dawn, and now he's as strong as his Sinnoh self. Also, Ash can now mock Iris freely for not catching dragon types, and he'll be fighting Cynthia.

In all seriousness, I hope he gets as strong as his Sinnoh self. I mean, if DAWN is stronger than Ash, I swear, I will NEVER live this down.

It's HIGHLY unlikely Ash will use any of his old Pokemon, even so, the only likely ones are Charizard and Snorlax, while the rest are at Oak's ranch basically forever (I miss Ash's Infernape and Buizel a lot). Even if Ash catches a new Pokemon in BW2, it will most likely be a Gen 5 Pokemon rather than a previous gen Pokemon.

As for his personality, it's like they reset his character back to his old Kanto self, and it didn't turn out so good, after all, BW has so far been like a second Kanto, BW2 will hopefully change things up.

Oh, and he'll lose the league again.

It's HIGHLY unlikely Ash will use any of his old Pokemon, even so, the only likely ones are Charizard and Snorlax,

It's pretty obvious (to me, at least) that Charizard and Squirtle can ONLY help Ash when he's in Kanto/Johto - they are NEVER sent to him, but come all the way by themselves, which explains why they never appeared in Hoenn or Sinnoh
Similarly, Gliscor (assuming it was sent back to the air master, which is, again, pretty obvious) probably can only help Ash when he's in Sinnoh
So these are 3 Poké I can't see Ash using in Unova at all
Anyway, I doubt he'd use ANY of his older ones in Unova... he caught too many Unova Poké already, he should at least give these poor neglected things some much needed screen time in the League...
I also wonder how things work with Ash's extra Poké now being sent to Juniper rather than Oak... is it even POSSIBLE to send them from Kanto to Unova? (I guess we will never find out)
Next saga, after the Unova League and when Ash will possibly be on another region, whatever that would be, I can see him bringing Gible back to his team and evolving it Phanpy-BF-style, and also like the BF saga randomly use some random old Poké here and there
