What don't you like about HG/SS?

I need to vent. I love this game a lot. However, it's got two major weaknesses that, in spite of all the awesome Pokemon and music, make me like it less than D/P/Pt. These things are:

1. No Vs. Seeker. Okay, I know that people you've previously battled will call you up once every decade or so and actually ask for a rematch, but most of the time it's just some wanker telling you something s/he's told you 50 times already and that s/he still can't defeat Drowzee.

2. Weak wild Pokemon. Come on, if you're not going to give us the Vs. Seeker, at least give us some stronger Pokemon. Once you defeat the E4, there is nowhere good to level up. Sure, sometimes you can call gym leaders for a rematch, but not nearly as often as would be nice. With twice as many gyms, there should be far stronger wild Pokemon than in Sinnoh. I find it ridiculous that there are low-level Pokemon scattered throughout Kanto when your Pokemon should be at least at Lv.40 by the time you get there.

If it weren't for these two things, this game would be perfect, or at least close enough to warrant a 10/10. As it stands, it's somewhere between 9 and 7/10 (when I'm fighting Chinchou and Shellder for 500 EXP, Lanturn for 800, and Tentacruel for 1100--over and over and over and over again--it's definitely a 7/10).

Please tell me I'm not the only person who found this annoying as hell. And I don't know any other place I can find a sympathetic audience.

Of course, I didn't JUST come to here to rant, because I am honestly curious:

Actually, no. I read Bulbapedia. And when I read about the phone function, I didn't see anything like that.

When are they going to make a game that doesn't require fighting Pokémon thirty levels below you to get to level 100? It'd be nice if optional challenges ranged all the way up to level 100 for once.

Okay, I looked it up on Serebii--it says that you can call people who have given you their phone numbers for a rematch, but even those who aren't gym leaders are only available on certain days at certain times. I find that really bothersome and think it would have been much better if you could have a Vs. Seeker. The Pokegear was good for its day, but the Vs. Seeker is much better in my opinion.

I don't like the fact that Leaf wasn't included. I know people will say that there's no reason for her to be in it since she wasn't in the originals, but I still have my reasons.

Heart gold and Soul silver are the sequels to the games where Leaf was introduced. Kotone and Gold both appear in the same story no matter who you pick. Which implies that Red and Leaf aren't the same person in alternate universes because all the other games have both genders in the same story now. In the original Gold and Silver, both counterparts didn't co exist, but since it's a new generation, it seems like they're "fixing" it by putting them in the same story. Therefore, Leaf could have been an npc for Heart Gold and Soul Silver. I sure hope i made sense
