What English names do you want for the new characters/places?

What English names do you want for the new characters (currently Achroma, Homika and Shizui)?

Personally, I want Homika to be called Britney or Brittney - because one of Britney Spear's songs is called Toxic, and plus Homika has the Toxic Badge, so it would be a good fit.

Shizui - Seamyour (If that's spelled correctly)

Achroma may stay the same.

Seymour, you mean? xD I was thinking Sheldon or Wade, but I like Seymour as well.
As for Homika, she could be named after a poisonous plant like Lily or Ivy.
Finally, Professor Chrome might fit the bill for Akuroma.

Professor/ Dr. Achroma is a fine name, although the English localizers have changed perfectly fine English-sounding Japanese names before.

I like Wade and Seymour, but I get Little Shop of Horrors connotations with the latter. (" Feed me Seymour! Feed me all night long!")

Homika needs a good rock star name.

I'm not good at names, but I'll give it a go.

For Homika, maybe Ivy. As in "poison ivy". Yeah. OTL
For Shizui, I was thinking of Sean. It has "sea" in it. o-o
For Akuroma, I think they'll keep Achroma. Unless they can find an albino tree to name him after.

Except for people going "SHE'S NOT A PLANT GYM LEADER HURR?!", I'd like for Homika to be named Rose. Why? Well, I think that Homika herself is a reference to the band Poison (not too far of a stretch, imo), and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" is one of their best known songs. So, Rose.

As for Shizui, I like Shawn, for the "ocean/shore" pun and all. Simple.

The female protagonist should SO be named "Griselda", it's perfect. Not only does it mean "grey", it's also derived from...wait for it...Hilda.

Homika- Roxie or Vicky. They're both punkish names.
Shizui- Sean. I heard of someone calling him "Finnick". Wade would also be good.
Achroma stays the same.

I think Homika should be called Gaselle, Shizui called Lantis, and Akuroma as Achroma.

Someone (can't remember who) suggested on one of the other threads the name Alice for Homika, and I think it'd be an awesome name, because it's a reference to Alice Cooper and his song, "Poison". Or if not that, then just shorten Homika to Mika/Mica.

Achroma should stay as Achroma, and as for Shizui, I'm not really sure.

For Shizui, Wade wouldn't be too bad, or Sean. Don't really have a strong opinion on that. Achroma will most likely stay the same. As for the PCs, perhaps Adrian for the guy and Alva for the girl? They mean 'Dark' and 'Light'. Alternatively, the guy could be Lloyd and the girl Ariana, which (iirc) both mean gray.

For PCs, I really want a break from the boringness that is boy-first-version/girl-second-version. D8 Raven and Gavin, for the girl and boy PC respectively. Both are named for birds. Raven is a black bird obviously, and I've read somewhere that Gavin means "white hawk", which is badass. I dunno. OTL

Luna Tiger posted a blog on this awhile back. I liked her ideas for Shizui and Achroma, which were Ripley and Aspen.

I also support Alice for Homika. I'm just hoping that the people who do the name localisations are more of an Alice Cooper fan than a Brtiney Spears fan...

I have my doubts they're going to name Homika after bands that actually exist in real life. I see her being called something hokey like Vicky (V-icky) rather than something like that.

Wade or Ripley work quite nicely for Shizui.

Achroma works fine.

What about the rival? I heard the name Lloyd but what about Spike or Spencer.

I was thinking about "Venessa" for Homika, from venom/venomous. I also like the idea of Seamore (or some other spelling) for Shizui. I'm not sure about Akuroma, but I think it's likely he'll get either a "Dr." or a "Professor" added to his name, with "Dr." being more likely, since he is not a regional professor, and they wouldn't want to confuse people.

I haven't thought about names for the PCs, since there aren't default names anymore. I would think it was awesome if they were called Luke and Leia, though :D

Homika - Holly (named after holly berries, which are poisonous). I also like Vicky.
Shizui - I like Wade. My own suggestion would be Kai, which means "ocean" in Hawaiian.
Akuroma - Achroma.

I like Mika for Homika. It's a good punk-sounding name. There was, in fact, a Japanese-British all-girl punk band called Mika Bomb that I used to follow.

I dunno, but if their English names are as bad as the Black and White characters ones, I'll keep calling them by the Japanese names.

Sean was one of the possible names for Brendan in Sapphire, so that makes me think Shizui won't be named that.
