What episode does Steven Stone appear? I tried looking all over the place. And it doesn't help that I can't go to Bulbapedia currently. (Only reliable source for that kind of stuff.) So I can't find it ANYWHERE!!!

All I get is other crap that I'm not looking for. Does anyone know? I used to, but I forgot... It was a year ago when I read what episode he was in.

A Hole Lotta Trouble is the only appearance of Steven.

"A hole lotta trouble" is where he appears.

Darn someone got to it first. Oh well. :/

As the question itself has been answered, I figured that it would perhaps be worth saying that in my opinion, it's quite a shame Steven only ever appeared in one episode which was essentially filler in the grand scheme of things, getting brushed off in the Magma/Aqua finale in favour of Lance.

Really, Lance has absolutely no reason to stick his head into the Hoenn arc, he already had his time in the spotlight with the Red Gyarados story and his (incredibly) minor cameo in the Raikou special.

Oh well, at least this time around the Champion Cynthia (and the Elite Four too) are getting some proper focus.

Thanks! :D I'll look up the episode on Friday. (Going to keep computer off after this due to minor technical difficulties.)

What's really strange is that Steven wasn't even called the champion of the Elite 4 or anything. If you didn't know about him from the games, you'd think Steven was just a filler character or something. He didn't say anything about belonging to the Elite 4, nothing.

I'm not really sure why the writers decided to bring Lance back either. Lance has nothing to do with Hoenn, and the Red Gyarados stuff would actually better advertise DP than back in Hoenn.

I suppose we'll never know what they were thinking at the time.

Because he was both in Kanto and Johto but he first appeared in Johto, so they probably felt the need to show him again, and probably because he had an actual job to do, he was sort of like the international police officer. wasn't he. I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up in Sinnoh. While highly unlikely it would prove he's more than a Johto Champion.

I heard from somewhere that in the games he was part of the Kanto Elite 4... Or am I mistaken?

Seriously, until this thread, that's what I thought. This guy did nothing! Why, writers, was he not in MvsA with Wataru?!

At least Shirona and friends are being handled well...

In the games, Lance is the last member of the Kanto Elite 4 and he was the champion of the Johto Elite 4.

In the games Gary is the champion in RBY, having beaten Lance before you get there. He was also in GS as the Champion.

This is the part where I have to say I'm so glad I play the games.

I wish I could, but after my obsessive playing of Yellow on GBC, my mum banned the purchase of futher games/consoles T_T

I wish that the anime made the anime-game links to these people a bit more obvious, because seriously, I thought this guy was random filler dude of the day.

I wish Steven would have worn his regualar outfit longer than the last 30 secconds D:

He could possibly re-appear someday, I guess.

After all, Lance showed up in Hoenn, a region he has nothing to do with.

Likewise Wallace, the champion of Hoenn, showed up in Sinnoh. And now Brandon, the Pyramid King of the Kanto Battle Frontier, is showing up in Sinnoh.

I don't think we'll see Steven again but its not impossible.

I dought it a lot of attenchen going to Cynthia unless they'll definetly have a Gold and Silver remake we are yet to have another global police officer appear, Looker

In the episode "A Hole Lotta Trouble" Steven is angry at Team Rocket for ruining the environment of Pokemon by digging holes. He then goes and blows a hole through the cave to get rid of them! This makes no sense, because his hole ruins the environment more than Team Rocket's holes do, especially since it lets rain in and the Pokemon that inhabit the cave are weak against water.

I call that Moral Dissonance!
