Ralts is touted as being incredibly tuned in with emotions, and is said to hide from hostility. Why then is it a level evo and not a happiness evo?

So what would you all change then?

Interesting concept, but I think people would have complained about that (For some reason, they view happiness-based evolutions as a giant pain in the ass).

As for what would have been more logical when it came to evolution...

Eevee evolving into Espeon with the Light Stone, In addition to happiness during the day (I'd be kinda neat to have a Pokémon who's evolution can be triggered in two different ways). Likewise...

Eevee evolving into Umbreon with the Dusk Stone, in addition to happiness during the night.

Also, Cherubi evolving into Cherrim with the Sun Stone rather then leveling up (The Sun Stone seriously needs more use).

Slowpoke evolves with a Shellder in the team.

That or with max happiness and holding a plate (or similar item) that corresponds to the type eg Zap plate for Jolteon

I don't like it, as the plate would dissapear after evolving.

I would think a lot less of these stupid overtly-conditional evolutions, "so-and-so has to level up knowing this move or in this specific area holding a certain item, blablabla". They're so confusing that I always have to look up several of the newer ones.

Also, this should be obvious: Leafeon with Leaf Stone.
Less obvious is that Espeon with Sun Stone and Umbreon with Moon Stone actually makes more sense.
(Glaceon, however good it can be, should really not exist due to the unique base 130 stat deal, [/shutsup])

Trading. Definitively trading.

I mean, I can not understand why a Pokémon would evolve by being traded away by the trainer with whom it has spent (probably) a good portion of its life. And then *BAM* evolves and faces a new trainer. It that were me, I wouldn't be very happy and not very collaborative, either. I simply don't get it.

Other than that, I support Leaf Stone -> Leafeon. About Umbreon and Espeon I'm not very sure. I like the idea of having something useful to do at certain times of the day.

Let' say it's an anti-happiness evolution (they evolve due to the power released by its anger for being traded away XP). Still, that method, along with happiness, is very annoying. Having a Machoke or Kadabra at level 100 is not very competitive until they evolve, and in these cases you REALLY NEED to trade, it's not like trading your Bellsprout for and Oddish just to complete your Pokédex and then burying it in you PC.

Trade evolutions should be changed with an item holding level up (like Happiny into Chansey) or something like that.

I greatly dislike the idea of Eevee using the leaf stone to evolve into Leafeon. Is it that bloody hard to level Eevee once in Eterna Forest?

Besides, I'm rather surprised that they didn't have it sooner since Eevee are supposed to change depending on the type of enviroment they find themselves in. Having Eevee evolve with a stone is kinda silly.

So how about Eevee evolves into Vaporeon when it levels on a certain bodies of water, into Jolteon when it levels in a power plant or similar places, and Flareon in places like active Volcanoes.

It's not hard. I just believe that the specificness of some of the more recent evolutions is utterly stupid. Previous ways were simple and straightforward (except for the "trading with items", I also hate them), not having to fulfill 8943987343489 objectives before finally having a Pokemon evolve.

Interestingly, Eevee's Pokedex entries are mixed. Some say its evolution is due to environment and/or the stones. Very odd, really, but I guess things are the way they are...

If it had a happiness evolution, then it should have a counterpart that evolves when happiness is low. Though this being Pokémon, they'd probably want to make that evolution weak since it is about making friends with little creatures you snatcha way from their homes and force to fight.

I agree with this, though fopr awhile, I was just thinking that Eevees would live in areas with large elemental stone deposits, so even if they don't touch it, the radiation is powerful enough to enduce evolution in the long run.

I had a similar idea, but it was an entire island having this effect on certain spieces living on it. Either letting them evolve further or even preventing them from evolving, unlike elsewhere.

Also, I'd like to see more use from items that only appear to have only one purpose of affecting one single Pokémon. I wouldn't like them to introduce more new items. My game's backpack is already full of crap I won't be using often.
