What Exactly Do The Characters Keep In Their Backpacks Anyway?

I've always wondered what the characters kept in their backpacks other than their Pokeballs(with the exception of Ash and Brock who keep them on their belts). This is all I know about each character's backpacks:


Ash(probably most known):

-A Rope(Hoenn on, pretty sure, probably based off the escape rope from the game)

-Pink Gloves(Ever since first episode, used them when Pikachu was angry at him in first ep and when Pikachu had a fever in a later ep)

-Red Pokeball Piece(Kanto, i think, split a Pokeball in half and Gary and Ash each kept one half as a sign of their rivalry)

-Badge Case(Every region, where else does he keep it?)

-Swimsuit(Every region)

-Food(his mom packed him a bunch of crap in the first ep and in a much later ep he was looking through his backpack and you could see the food)



Misty(hardly know anything about):

-Pokeballs

-Swimsuit

-Togepi's Food(I'd assume?)

Okay, really don't know too much for Misty.



Brock(I think Brock has the most stuff.....)

-Swimsuit

-Pokemon Food

-Books

-Sleeping Bags(Apperantly for EVERYONE?)

-Tablecloth/Dishes

-Tent

-Cooking Utensils

-Frying Pans and such

-Picnic Blanket



Tracey:

-Sketchpad(obviously)

-Swimsuit

-Pokeballs

-Cooking Utensils

-Frying Pans and other crap

-Extra Pencils



Max:

-Uh, what DOES he have?



May:

-Ribbon Case

-Pokeballs

-Swimsuit



Dawn:

-Pajamas

-Pokeballs

-Swimsuit

-Ribbon Case
 
Is there even any reason for Max to have a backpack? O_O.. Maybe he has.. Meh, I don't know, but don't they all have sleeping bags? xD
 
Didn't Max tote around the PokéNav? It would probably be too clunky to keep easily in a pocket. Or maybe Max just helped Brock with carrying cooking supplies or something, or just brought some food along.
 
Well technically it was MAY's Pokenav, she just let Max hold onto it.

And also I just remembered Ash has the Thunderstone he saves in case Pikachu ever wants to evolve. Wait, did Team Rocket take it the second time Pika almost evolved? I never saw him get it back, so did TR take his Thunderstone?

I know, but the person posted as if she doesn't know too much of Misty at all. Its not as if you can't rewatch the first two seasons easily anyway.

Hey, I watched ALL the seasons, but Misty NEVER seems to use her backpack. The only things she'd probably have are Togepi's food, her Pokeballs, and a swimsuit. Maybe some of her Cerulean City Gym badges, I guess? But other than that, almost nothing is in there, anyway. YOU try naming something out of her backpack, then.


And I know alot about Misty, and all the characters, just not what's in her freaking backpack, okay? I hate her guts, but I know alot about her. Proof:


-She hates carrots, peppers, and bugs

-She followed Ash to get her bike back, and when her bike was repaired she was sad to leave

-She has a crush on Ash(grr, one of the many reasons I hate her)

-She dressed up in a Goldeen outfit once to help a magician(lol, Ash teased her about it ^-^)



Bottom line, NO ONE knows what's in her backpack, I'm making a guess, okay? YOU tell me then what's in her backpack.

Nobody really specified much about what was in their backpacks, and for good reason: why waste precious time and money elaborating on unimportant stuff that wasn't going to be used to make a filler episode less conspicuous when you can add in a Mandatory Rocket Trio Appearance?
 
If they don't own backpacks (which I can't remember off the top of my head) then why make this thread in the first place?
 
For everyone except Team Rocket, they use their pockets and their pants.


Wait, where does James keep his bottlecaps?
 
James' bottlecaps? Didn't he just have those in a box or something that just stayed in their balloon? Or in his pockets? ^^

-Psyduck's floatie ring
-Hair ties


And another thing I wonder, does Misty carry around spare Cascade Badges and challenge people on the road?
 
Well, the box in his Summer House was always just the majority of his bottlecaps, wasn't it? I thought he kept the other bottlecaps in his pocket or his pants or something.



And don't forget Misty could've just rented that beach ball and Psyduck's floatie could belong to someone else.
