I was watching back the old ep of pokemon and I notice that JIgglypuff haven't appear anymore. I was wonderign and I heard people sayin Jigglypuff got capture by a guy in the Advance generation. Is it true?

Sadly, that was a different Jigglypuff. We have no idea what happened to the one that used to follow the gang around--it hasn't been seen since Hoenn, where it wound up hanging around a Whismur...and then wandering off in a huff when the Whismur fell asleep (...which isn't supposed to happen. Jigglypuff breaks GAME MECHANICS).

It fell asleep because it was exhausted, from what I remember (not because of Sing). Jigglypuff sang twice - the first time, Whismur stayed awake, the second time, it fell asleep. But that episode was so long ago...

?

You're not talking about the Jigglypuff from the Orange Island Episodes, are you? I'd also like to know what happened to that one...

Simply put, it was just Brother Chucked.

Perhaps it's antics didn't really fit with the themes of the show now. The show became more focused on the relationships between the trainers and their Pokémon. For this to occur more focus was put on the personalities of the Pokémon that were owned by the main characters. Characters like Jigglypuff (Pokémon that followed the group but were really a part of it i.e, Outsiders) were axed, or at least majorly cut down on appearences. Now they will only get a single reappearence and in the second appearence their storyline gets "resolved", Spoink got a new pearl while Hippopotas found his father/friend.

I honestly don't think it'll ever appear again.

I'm pretty sure the Whismur was tired from all the antics of the trick house. It fell asleep without Jiggly's help.

I recently re-watched this episode and you're right. The second time Jigglypuff sang in front of Whismur in that episode, Whismur simply fell asleep because it was so exhausted from battling Team Rocket.

That episode did make me question where the Jigglypuff had gone though, I miss the little thing XD

Jigglypuff might make a surprise re-appearance someday.

I'm kinda wondering why they brought it into Hoenn for only 1 episode though. I realize at that point of the show the writers were phasing out old characters from the pre-AG days, so why give it only 1 episode and then forget about it?

I guess the writers felt Jigglypuff was too "first-gen" to keep appearing at this point, I'm surprised we saw it in a couple of Johto eps.

Keep in mind, Jotho was all "pandering to the last games" so they had many elements of the Indigo seasons, including Jigglypuff.

But not any of the quality. Haha.

Haha indeed... "Quality"...

Indigo was really nowhere near as awesome as people made it out to be. Like all works of fiction early in it's production, mistakes have been made and ideas were introduced that didn't go anywhere. Misty's Horsea for instance.

But it's mostly due to the nostalgia filter that prevents people from seeing the first season for what it really was (Not bad, but not exactly the best.)

But does Jigglypuff count as one of those ideas that didn't go anywhere? It was to make her randomly appear when you needed to put something to sleep, but her shtick got old after Jotho. It didn't even get a proper resolvement (but then again, I honestly expect nothing to be resolved over the course of the show's run.)

Jigglypuff didn't exactly get closure, but I wouldn't say it didn't go anywhere.

Like people said, it could make a surprise appearance eventually. If Delibird could re-appear in Battle Frontier and DP after being MIA for all of Hoenn, then so can Jigglypuff.

The thing is that Delibird didn't exactly count as a "wild Pokémon that follows the twerps/Team Rocket".

It's owned by or "employed" as it were, by Team Rocket's head office. It's basically their delivery boy/bill collector.

It's a bit part, like the Magikarp Salesman, but it's a better purpose then showing up to be a nusaince like Jigglypuff was.

What happened to Jigglypuff is one of those Universal questions such as

Why do we exist?

How was the Universe Created?

What happened to the Taco Bell dog?

Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?

Scooby Doo, Where is he?

Why does it seem like only good shows get cancelled from TV?

and the most IMPORTANT question: Where's Waldo?

^
lol

You forgot:

Does these shoes make my feet look fat?

Are we really alone in the universe?

How long is a peice of string?

What if we went back in time and shot ourself, what would happen then? YOu can't shoot yourself if your already dead, but you can't die because you'd have to live to the point when you travelled back in time and shot yourself to beign with. (Time Paradox)

Back on the subject:

Maybe Jigglypuff will one day return as wigglytuff or by a trainer than caught it and it sees Ash and Brock and recognises them. Yeah, I'd like to see it return one day. I liked it when it followed the gang around. I loved how it drew on people/pokemon when it got upset after they fell asleep when it singed at them.

Maybe what happened was, it went to Hoenn (as seen in the 1 episode) then because Hoenn is so far away from Sinnoh, it may not get there and might stay in hoenn?

so jigglypuff current status is still being a wild pokemon, so he might have a chance of appearing in future episode. There's one thing i hate about pokemon and that is leaving too many plotholes.

Well I prefer the writer make some event which make the Jigglypuff couldn't appear anymore then leaving it out and leaving people wondering will it ever appear again.
