What happened to the Platinum arc?

Three chapters were posted on both Bulbapedia and Serebii, the former having information about the arc that never showed up in the Pokemon Special/Adventures manga.

Meanwhile, the HGSS arc is up and running, with the second chapter posted. It is supposed to be the 9th arc (following Platinum, the 8th), but Platinum doesn't seem to be complete.

So my questions are, is the Platinum arc finished? Or was it discontinued? Why is it like this?
 
The arcs will continue in the volumes.

It's because Grade 5 and Grade 6, the magazines the DP arcs were running in, were canceled and HGSS was being delayed.
 
The RS, FRLG and Emerald arcs were all running at the same time at one point in the weekly chapter release. Seeing the start of the HGSS arc now isn't a concern.
