Ok, so Iwas playing my Sapphire yesterday, and I decided to go on my Platinum. After I'd been on Platinum, I decided to go back on Sapphire, but somehow my save file had been deleted. Might anyone know what happened to my lost Sapphire file?

Many possible reasons:

1:Did you turn it off as you saved?

2:Did you use Game Shark/Action Replay?

3:Did water get to it?

4:Did you migrate?

There's a 99.999% chance its gone forever.

1 no
2 no
3 no
4 tried to, game wouldn't let me and deleted itself afterward

I think I know what happened. I've narrowed it down to two:

1:Did you bump the cartradge as you migrated?

2:(most likely)Was the cartradge 100% in the slot?

AHH thats happened to me with my pirated fire red
your sapphire is pirated because the pirated games always delete their save file when you play diamond pearl or platinum!
Its happened to me and it aint funny!

It was probably a non-legit copy this happened to me with my copy of Leaf Green I got off Amazon earlier this year we the guy said to bring it back and we still havnt gotten any responce

That has happened to me a couple times on different fakes. best thing you can do is get your money back for it if you can, otherwise do like i did and get rid of it and move on.

the best way to check if a card is real is to look up above the gold pins on the little bit of circuit board visible, and see if the nintendo copywright symbol is there. it wont be there on most fakes. also most of the fakes i've seen have a small gap in the plastic just above the pins, whereas nintendo have enough class to make carts that are actually complete.

sorry for your loss :(
