Do you find that you need a particular thing to help you write, like a familiar setting or a certain tone around you? Or can you write pretty much anywhere? Or does it depend?

For me, it all depends not only on what I'm writing, but who it's about and what they're like. I also can't write when it's quiet out, so I need background noise.

Inspiration, of course. Quite often I'm not inspired enough to write, but inspiration for drawing comes much easier. When I am writing, however, I need to have music playing that reflects the mood and ideas I'm trying to write about. Music highly influences how I write.

It depends on my mood and what I am writing about. Sometimes I find that music helps.

I can write, of course, whenever I want to, and with enough eloquence to suit just about everyone. But I don't produce work I consider of a high caliber unless I'm in a mood over something, usually a girl.

I generally write my best while listening to familiar or quiet music--preferably in a place with little or no distractions. I like to concentrate as much as possible on my work. I have also noticed that if I write late at night, I tend to be happier with the results than if I try to write any other time. For some reason, I absolutely cannot write in any room where the TV is on, even if it's muted. Not sure why... It's not because it distracts me, I just find it annoying.

Nothing helps me write. I hate write and I'm really bad at it. The only reason I am writing a fic is because I haven't seen any other kidshipping fics and I had the idea for this fic for a few years so I finally decided to write it.

It helps a lot if I'm alone. When there's the threat that someone from my family is going to come over and just butt their heads into the world I'm creating, it feels jarring, and I just can't write.

Other than that, it usually HELPS for me to have the TV on...*shrugs*.

I vary. I normally write best with some sort of music. But then there are some days when I have to have absolute silence. And I have to have candy. I can't write without candy. Oh, and I have to be in comfortable clothes. Hehe.

Comfort when I write is a big thing for me. I like a little background noise, maybe a TV or a classroom on freetime, something. If I'm writing a fanfic, listening to music from said series usually helps. Like, if I'm writing something Final Fantasy, I pop in the FF7 soundtrack. "He Drives Me Crazy" gets me in a good Pokéshipping mood, and the other million and one soundtracks I have to various anime and games and movies help with their respective series. Occasionally a drawing will inspire me to do a matching fic, or images I get in my head while listening to a certain song.

Being alone, either at bed or night or on a walk, is when I hatch ideas. Fair weather also. I have to be in the perfect mood to write though which is why I rarely do it.

Actually, it's the opposet of a familliar setting for me.

I am at home most of the time, so I get bored by my surroundings. I find unfamilliar places inspiring. Also, I find when I am not suppposed to be writing is when my urges are the strongest. Like in class, at work, at the bank, at family meetings, at resturants, ect.
