If Pokemon anime ends permanently in Japan, then later in the United States, I cherish the moments that I watched since the first episode until the last episode, even I live in a different country than the most of this forum members.

Pokemon exists for more than 500 episode screenings since the first one, more than 10 years ago. Many characters change over time to time. Many Pokemon appeared, about 493, but increased after time after time. I didn't want Pokemon does not end like in the case of Doraemon series, where authors deceased before the end revealed.

Note: Ends permanently means no more prequel, sequel or midquel else. I know this is a spoiler for the Pokemon anime. Please reply in a good manner.

If it ends, it ends. Most likely it won't end soon. The people involved still make money with it.

What's up with all these threads? There's absolutely no reason to believe it'll end in the near future if at all
I believe (and want) it'll continue forever
The Mario games exist for more then 20 years, Pokémon is likely to become sucha game series that will just continue on and on forever and the anime is the main thing used to advertise the games - they won't randomly stop it
The plot in Pokémon is also very fitting to continue it as much as they'll want (there ARE animes that exist for more than 40 years and are still successful like Sazae-san, so why Pokémon can't?) and if they'll really want they can always start a totally new series with new characters...

They could always end Satoshi's story and start with new characters.

Re: What if Pokemon anime ending its series permanently?(No more prequel, sequel or e

How come all of a sudden, everyone is either afraid that the series will end or praying that the series will end?

For God's sake, Platinum moved a million units in three days. This franchise won't be going away for a long time. It's a Nintendo franchise - they've been known to have serious staying power (look at Mario or Donkey Kong or the Legend of Zelda, all of which are between 20 and 25 years old). Relax and enjoy it already. And to those who do want it to end, you're free to stop watching anytime.

Re: What if Pokemon anime ending its series permanently?(No more prequel, sequel or e

How is this a spoiler...?

Anyway, I don't think the anime will be ending anytime soon. The only reason that would happen would be for the games to end, and that's highly unlikely.

As Argy said, they could always start fresh with an all new cast of characters. (Although I think the most appropriate time to do this would have been right after Johto, it's still not too late.)

Re: What if Pokemon anime ending its series permanently?(No more prequel, sequel or e

Exactly.

When (not if, when) Generation V comes out, we will have yet another saga of the series that will start with Ash leaving all his Pokémon except Pikachu to Professor Oak and saying "goodbye" to Brock, only to reunite with him a few episodes later, and... Well, you know how it goes. This will probably go on for a number of years.

Because the show has gone on long enough?

By the end of the current gen the show will have over 600 episodes and 13 movies.

With the foreshadowing of Ash challenging the Sinnoh Elite 4, this would make a perfect ending for the show. The only other loose ends is disbanding Team Rocket in some form and meeting Ho-oh, and you can call it a wrap.

Re: What if Pokemon anime ending its series permanently?(No more prequel, sequel or e

Team Rocket (the whole team, not JJM) are not important at all anymore... the only reason they still exist is so JJM still has a reason to try steal Pikachu
Even if they'll disband Rocket one day it'll probably happen off screen
For Ho-Oh I really don't get why people expect anything to happen - it appeared to Ash since Ash is a good trainer that really loves his Pokémon and know the importance of friendship and all that... there's really nothing to do with this
The E4 doesn't mean it's the end of Ash's journey, especially if he lose to Cynthia (I actually want him to lose to Cynthia and then next gen beat the champion so it'd be more of gradual improvement rather than all of a sudden)

So really Scott, I doubt an ending would be as special as you think
They'll either have Ash as the new champion/BF brain or they'll end with "And so Ash's journey continue..." without us seeing what happens to him
If you don't like the show anymore than just stop watch - no one force you! and these who still enjoy it like me can be happy and continue to watch

Not true. They're not as important as Team Galactic at the moment, but Team Rocket is very important to Jessie, James, and Meowth, who are extremely popular characters and probably won't be going anywhere anytime soon, and since if the series ever ended I see JJM living a happy little life together outside of crime (which is clearly not their forte), something would have happen in order to wrap up the whole Team Rocket plot in order for them to do that.

Would it not be awesome if JJM decided that they didn't want a life of crime and ended up fighting AGAINST Team Rocket in the end?

Re: What if Pokemon anime ending its series permanently?(No more prequel, sequel or e

I think if they want to disband Rocket than they'll just have JJM hear the team doesn't exist anymore and then they decide to be good guys or something like that... I really doubt they'll do anything with Rocket... unless they'll make a return in the games which doesn't seem likely

That would be epic indeed. Especially if Nyasu realizes Sakaki doesn't care about him and Fury Swipes him.

Is it just me, or do you keep saying the same thing in every post you make?

You really need to stop expecting this show to build towards a big epic finale. As long as the franchise is profitable, the writers aren't keeping an ending in mind. Face it - this isn't a show with an underlying plot line, and it never will be. It's just a fun little anime series based on a video game. You can either enjoy it for what it is, or spend the rest of its duration sitting in front of your computer and grumbling about how it's not pandering to your idea of what it's supposed to be.

Re: What if Pokemon anime ending its series permanently?(No more prequel, sequel or e

Personally I don't think the cartoon finishing soon either since it kind of the first time where I've seen a Nintendo cartoon try to keep up with it's games.

Though if the cartoon were to finish the games will keep going without the cartoon. I don't honestly think mario is a good example in showing the cartoon going to last a long long time that some people brought up. Mario had a cartoon series at one time. My brother even bought the rereleased old classics on DVD a few years ago. The mario cartoon series finished years and years ago. The games kept going however.

The legend of Zelda even once had a cartoon series that also finished years and years ago.

So mario and even the legend of Zelda show that the games will last for a long time but they're not good indicators of the cartoon lasting a long time.

Now going back to Pokemon. Pokemon's anime is probably the first Nintendo anime to actually try to keep up with the series of games and probably the first nintendo cartoon to stay popular after 10 years. So despite what I said it does look like a cartoon that could possibly last 40 years like other anime in japan. Pokemon seems to always appear to me like the next Disney/warner bros where the characters will just keep going.

It's been built upon repetition and if kids and a few adults aren't bored of repetition now then why would they be bored of repetition in another 10 to 20 years. As long as it keeps having at least a decent rating (doesn't have to be great) it'll keep going.

Though if it were to finish I too will cherish every moment I watched it from beginning to end.

EDIT: Adding more.
If anything I think if the end of the series were to come they'd probably find someway of at least having Ash become a master whether it'd be defeating the league or something along the lines. I'd think it'd be interesting to see what the end would be but I'm not putting too much hope on an epic ending. It could very well be a simple ending.

The ending may not even have Ash if they decide to have different trainers throughout the course of the series in the future and the ending may involve that trainer and Ash's ending may come alot sooner and Pokemon keeps going with the other trainer until that ending comes. If that makes any sense of what I just said.lol

Hmm, do you want reaching the Pokemon anime for 100 years... maybe if you still alive that time, how you will explain the series from the beginning till the end? But many fans will be surrender watching or died before the series end.

Please be logical....no show is going to last for a 100 years come on now. It's going to last for a long time, but not that long.

And besides, I don't know many people who would watch something for 100 years...

Re: What if Pokemon anime ending its series permanently?(No more prequel, sequel or e

I'm not in a rush to for the anime to end and, besides if it ends, it just ends. I will probably be taking a break when gen 5 comes anyway.

Why are you so concerned with wanting the show end anyway?

Re: What if Pokemon anime ending its series permanently?(No more prequel, sequel or e

How about the voice actors or seiyuus? They are humans but don't care about their situation. Maybe if Pokemon anime does not end, many voice actors or seiyuus will change, retire or died.

The anime need it's ending permanently, not just adding a sequel or a prequel. Can you see what happened to those actors died, honored but forgotten. (I beg your pardon for those families involved)

How about you curse anyone who is involved in Pokemon anime? Because you know Pokemon anime ended permanently. Many persons will be involved in this anime, but do you see what they deserved at the end of the anime? No, if the anime ends, you will treat them harshfully, angrily or shamefully forgotten or curse them why your favorite anime end. But I will respect them peacefully after the Pokemon anime ends, remembering their voices even I'm just part of watching them on the television.

About the games? Maybe I treat them as a history book of mine not a game anymore. Opening those games maybe remembered what I encountered Pokemon anime due to the fact as a trainer, capturing makes me remembering the main characters did in the anime. About the cards? Same as the games, remembering how is the Pokemon did or that Pokemon wants. Collections of Pokemon, display it, remember the old days Pokemon exists.

As of now, Pokemon anime is still running it's series now, complicating the grand finale of it. I understand why forum members reply, but I look is how the series end permanently, meaning no more generations to come, no more what I was mentioned on my first post here, no more anything else.

Well, reading through your post, I tried to come up with a reasonable answer, but all I can come up with is that you're completely natters.

Sorry about that. You're going on about it like it's emitting radiation or something and is giving people cancer.
