Generation 8 What is Cogita's relationship with Volo?

It's obvious that they have some sort of relationship (non romantic obv) but I'm kinda confused on Cogita's feelings towards Volo. She scolds him but still goes along to help him get the plates. And they have had some chats which, at least in my opinion, seemed to have some sort of trust between each other because of her allowing him (Volo) to come to her home she pretty obviously hid from others and allowed him to let Akari (or Rei depending on who you played) to stay. But it may be because they're the hero but my point stands still. I know people think that shes Volo's grandma but I feel like it doesn't make as much sense considering if they had a grandparent to child relationship I doubt Volo would do a lotta things that he did or he would know more than what he knows originally. I feel as if I'm missing a dialogue or something that explains their relationship but I don't know exactly. Does anyone know if there's any sort of context on their relationship? Maybe in masters they had an interaction but I haven't gotten that far yet as I'm still on the first story. Or if y'all have any theories that's equally as good :-D

Cogita knows much more than she is letting on. She clearly can sense what Volo wants to do, and though she has a sense that it is not good for the world, she has a researcher's curiosity and a desire to see her work come to some kind of conclusion. Giving the Pixie Plate to the player might be her way of saying, "I can't trust Volo, but the quest is almost done, so I am going to trust this person who clearly got support from a higher being to address him."

They are part of the Celestica people. I think she is like a soothsayer, a diviner of truth and teller of the stories, passed down from generation to generation. Volo might be soothsayer in training who is anxious to know all and move the story forward, like what Zinnia is with the Draconid people in ORAS.
