What is something new or uncommon that you'd like to see more of in the Pokemon anime/manga?

I'm not too familiar with the manga so I refer to the anime. But I would like to see more cameos of older characters, older trainers, and Pokemon professions.

As a mom in real life I'd like to see more of the character's family dynamics.

What about you guys?

• More cameos or mentions of older characters, like Misty, Brock, Gary, May, Max, Dawn, ect.
• More references to Ash's older Pokemon.
  
• Greater family dynamics shown, like what we saw with May and her family.
• More villain plots on the scale of Team Flare's 5 part climax.
• More Pokemon related professions beyond professor, trainer, coordinator, connoisseur, and performer.

The gang hanging around a location for a few episodes (excluding the Tournament Arcs)---the arc between Viridian and the Kanto League in the OS where Ash and friends hung around Palette Town was pretty fun, and then there was the arc in Diamond and Pearl where they hung around Twinleaf Town I also liked, plus the summer camp episodes in DP and XY were fun.

Or if Ash must lose the League for some reason (like the rule about him actually having to lose the League is actually editorial or Game Freak fiat), have it be either the male or female player character from the region that beats him.
