Having played every single version of Pokemon, I have found that some generations are easier to make an in-game team for. What is the best team you feel you have ever made? (as in you you had the complete 6 you would had no issue whatsoever when the remaining part of the game even if you didn't have all the right moves or were under leveled)

Mine was my first team from gen 3 on my Ruby game. I went to the elite 4 with a team range of 35-40 and when i was done my highest was 51 and my lowest was 46.

Sceptile-51
Leaf Blade
Brick Break
Dig
Secret Power

Pelipper-49
Steel Wing
Fly
Surf
Ice Beam

Manectric-50
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power
Charge
Spark

Mightyena-46
Crunch
Iron Tail
Shadow Ball
Swagger

Camerupt-48
Earthquake
Eruption
Overheat
Rock Slide

Meditite-46
High Jump Kick
Psychic
Ice Punch
Reversal

Honestly? My best team so far has either been Empoleon/Bibarel/Roserade/Staraptor/Crobat/Luxray in Diamond, Empoleon/Togekiss/Umbreon/Lucario/Giratina/Spiritomb in Platinum, Samurott/Unfezant/Liepard/Munna/Stoutland/Watchog in Black, Serperior/Arcanine/Azumarill/Ampharos/Zoroark/Lucario in Black 2 or Delphox/Talonflame/Butterfree/Blastoise/Florges/Aegislash in X. BTW, aside from my Diamond team (that save file is long gone), I have all of my other teams in my X version. ;)

Nice sets, but how on earth did you survive in diamond? Electric would roll you big time if you make any kind of mistake.

My best in-game team would probably be my team on Y, which worked wonders on the elite 4 (no casualties until the champion!) although I did have to do a fair bit of editting to movesets and things beforehand to pull that off. But still, I managed it.

Fly

Kyrox (male sylveon)

Whiplash (male mienshao)

Albero (male venusaur)

Energy ball,

Protect

Hmm, so that's it. As you can see, I actually ditched my mega lucario before that far in, actually, since I'd already used lucario twice in in-game teams, once in platinum, once more in black 2. I also used the new butterfly thing for a time, but I can't for the life of me remember its name. By which I mean the species name. I remember her nickname. Oh, and I had a zigzagoon called 'Tanuki' for utility (and comedy) purposes, because I really love zigzagoon and it helped me get over my guilt for not playing gen 3. Didn't even have pickup, either. What I still really want is a poochyena, though, but apparently I can't get one anywhere. Hmmm...

I think it was for the Water Users PTW tourney, I had an awesome ludicolo and some other random water pokemon. My Ludicolo sweeped every single pokemon it went up against. Here's it's moveset: Giga Drain Drain Punch Thunder Punch Energy Ball

I was surprised at how easy it was.

While I've had a lot of great teams, I think it's divided between my White and Y versions. However, my Y version has the most unique group, as has much greater balance and moves. So maybe it's Y that is currently the best, though my main White is still high up there.

This is what I have in Y:

Ryu (Noivern)
Lv 82
Male
Frisk
Docile
Mischievous
King's Rock
Fly, Boomburst, Air Slash, Dragon Pulse

Nina (Delphox)
Lv 83
Female
Blaze
Quirky
Mischievous
Leftovers
Grass Knot, Flamethrower, Mystical Fire, Psychic

Rei (Greninja)
Lv 81
Male
Torrent
Naive
Alert to Sounds
Shell Bell
Water Shuriken, Ice Beam, Dark Pulse, Surf

Spar (Gogoat)
Lv 81
Male
Sap Sipper
Timid
Good Endurance
Big Root
Bulk Up, Horn Leech, Earthquake, Rock Slide

Fou-Lu (Aegislash)
Lv 81
Male
Stance Change
Relaxed
Likes to Thrash About
Rocky Helmet
Shadow Sneak, Iron Head, Sacred Sword, King's Shield

Lora (Gardevoir)
Lv 80
Female
Trace
Modest
Capable of Taking Hits
Gardevoirite
Moonblast, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Will-O-Wisp

In case you couldn't tell, almost all of my Pokemon (including sub members not listed, but discluding Gardevoir) all are named after Breath of Fire characters, my all-time favorite series. Hence the order they're in (Noivern in front, even though Delphox is my starter). Instead of my normal nicknaming tactics, I decided to try a more fun and unusual approach (ie: Noivern's original name was going to be Nightwave). Makes for an interesting appearance in Wi-Fi battles. They have won me every battle with the exception of a couple of Wi-Fi and one Battle Palace battles (the former of which is because I ended up with mostly tournament-style opponents... I got creamed because of that, as I'm not a tournament-style player at all). But other than that, these guys have been top notch battlers. So I'm right proud of these guys. ^_^

Well I don't battle competitively and Volkner was hot but his team wasn't that hard for me. Or at least, I don't remember him giving me trouble. Considering this was eight years ago, I could be dead wrong.

I probably have to pick my Emerald team, specifically the ones I beat the E4 and Champ with:

Sceptile (w/ Leaf Blade)
Absol (w/ Swords Dance and Shadow Ball)
Manectric (w/ Thunderbolt)

I beat the champ with just these three guys - Absol outright swept half his team after being lucky enough to get two Swords Dances, and the remaining three (Whiscash, Milotic, and Gyarados in that order) were relatively easy plucking for Sceptile and Manectric. It was a really really tense battle given that I was out of revives, low in healing items....

My LeafGreen team of Blastoise and Fearow, which I pretty much beat the whole game with alone. I think I had some other temporary members along the way, but these two guys did the main job.

I still got them on my LeafGreen cartridge, actually. I won't ever transfer them forward, they belong where they are.

One of my Pokemon X teams, since I didn't really have any teams that were built as teams prior to Gen. 6.

Delphox, Greninja, Talonflame, Lucario, Venusaur, Aegislash, Jolteon

7 are listed due to the 6th slot being rotated constantly.

you have 7 listed. wish i could do that in a game. lol

My apologies if this would be considered a bump, however I figured it would be best to post here than start a new thread.

I was thinking about my ol' copy of Ruby, and I thought back to the team I had on it. It's not my original team, but it worked out really well for me.

"Swal" Swalot
"Gon" Flygon
"Scept" Sceptile
"Shar" Sharpedo
"Hari" Hariyama
"Dusk" Dusclops

I'm great with nicknames, huh?

Probably because I played Gen 4 so many times, they just feel signature:

Empoleon/Staraptor/Roserade/Luxray (otherwise known as the core)

The remaining two slots would switch between:
Glaceon or Mamoswine/Ambipom/Gliscor/Typhlosion

Good times, good times.

My team is the team I created in Y and have since used the same team in X to stomp the elite 4.

Linoone: Current level 100, Been in my party since level 3
Strength
Rock Smash
Cut
Ice Beam

Yvetal: Current level 100, been in my PT since level 50
Fly
Oblivion Wing
Phantom Force
Dark Pulse

Delphox Currently level 100 This was my starter mon and has been in my party the whole time
Fire Pledge
Psychic
Flamethrower
Flame Charge

Venusaur: Current level 100, been in my party since level 10
Petal Blizzard
Sleep Powder
Leech Seed
Cut

Emolga: Curent Level 100, been in my party since level 20
Spark
Electro Ball
Shock Wave
Double Team

Lapras: Current level 100, been in my party since level 30
Water Pulse
Ice Beam
Waterfall
Surf

I have had this group together for quite a while and they are awesome! Not much on defence I know but I can match up types pretty well so it is not as much of an issue as I can usually drop my opponents in one or 2 hits.

My Pokémon X team is my best. Listed in the order they appear in-game:

1. Venusaur, Lv. 98 @ Venusaurite
Energy Ball Sludge Bomb
Sleep Powder Leech Seed

2. Aurorus, Lv. 100 @ Hard Stone
Ancient Power Nature Power
Thunderbolt Toxic

3. Empoleon, Lv. 100 @ Mystic Water
Surf Flash Cannon
Hydro Pump Drill Peck

4. Girafarig, Lv. 99 @ Twisted Spoon
Return Psychic
Shadow Ball Dazzling Gleam

5. Haxorus, Lv. 97 @ Dragon Fang
Dragon Claw Earthquake
X-Scissor Brick Break

6. Honchkrow, Lv. 98 @ Black Glasses
Night Slash Fly
Steel Wing Thunder Wave

Probably my Platinum Team. All currently lv. 100. I don't think I'll ever make a team that will ever surpass this one.

Infernape (Blaze)-Fire Blast/Close Combat/Flare Blitz/Thunder Punch
Luxray (Amy)-Thunder/Crunch/Thunder Fang/Hidden Power Grass (I think)
Floatzel (Tails)-Surf/Waterfall/Crunch/Ice Fang
Garchomp (Sonic)-Dragon Rush/Earthquake/Crunch/Fire Fang
Lucario (Knuckles)-Aura Sphere/Flash Cannon/Extreme Speed/Ice Punch
Weavile (Shadow)-Ice Punch/Brick Break/Night Slash/Aerial Ace

I'd go with my XY team since they are easy to raise, early to obtain and have wide coverage.

Greninja: Surf, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, U turn. Holding mystic water
Talonflame: Flare Blitz, Acrobatics, U-turn, Fly. Holding nothing for acrobatics to do more damage.
Gardevoir: Calm Mind, Psyshock, Thunderbolt, Moon Blast. Holding a pixie plate
Tyrantrum: Crunch, Dragon Claw, Rock Slide, Earthquake. Holding a hard stone
Venusaur: Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, Sludge Bomb, Energy Ball. Holding a black sludge
Lucario: Close Combat, Shadow Claw, Metal Claw, Power up Punch. Holding Lucarionite

For me, I think my Platinum team is my best. They did a great job with the Sinnoh Elite Four and Cynthia. I even brought these guys back into Pokemon Y to take on the Kalos Elite Four and Diantha. Soon after I beat the Hoenn Elite Four, I'm bringing these guys back into OR/AS to have a go.

My team consists of Monferno, Luxray, Roserade, Floatzel, Gliscor, and Bronzong.
