What is the FIRST Pokemon you've seen

The first pokemon I ever saw was Hitmonchan, and it was on the cover of a box of pokemon cards that my brother brought home one day. (I think Black Out was the name of the deck...)

Anyways, yeah...that deck of cards is responsible for my whole obsession with pokemon now...*teary-eyed nostalgic mode* I'll have to thank my brother...
 
I dunno what the first one I saw was. Probably Pikachu, but I remember seeing these toys being given away at some fast food place (I want to say KFC). The only one I remember of them is Seel. So either Pikachu or Seel was the first I saw. Or at least the first that stuck in my head.
 
Probably Pikachu or Cubone...I remember "The School Of Hard Knocks!" being the first Pokemon thing I ever saw.

I think it was Burger King.


The first Pokémon I saw was in summer 1999 a Pikachu while I was visiting my American relatives. I saw it in a newspaper article. After that I saw various Pokémon on a cardboard teaser thingy in the theatre. I didn't know what those Pokémon were and I rhought they were weird until fall, when Pokémon came to Europe o.o In Europe I also saw Pikachu first when I watched the first episode of Pokémon on TV o.o

TBH I really can't remember. I think the first I saw of them was a poster of the original 150 (no Mew). I remember noticing Eevee and Ditto.

Correct Blackout was the deck with Hitmonchan
 
I remember seeing Pikachu for the 1st time when my friend showed it to me out of the blue, and I was like...wtf is that thing? :P
 
Venusaur and Charizard, from an early 1996 issue of Nintendo Power.
 
It was probably Pikachu, from those little pocket Pikachu things that used to be popular, and probably sooner than that. I also remember seeing Charmander in a commercial for something before, too.
 
I first saw the episode where Ash enters the F-1 pokemon tournament, so my first pokemon was a primeape I believe

I believe... it was an Oddish. I was watching a friend (not really a friend, but I knew him. you know the kind) at school play Red on his Gameboy. It was the back of an Oddish and I kept wondering what the heck that spiky thing was.
 
I have no clue... but I do think it was on my cousin's Pokémon Yellow that I first saw Pokémon. Maybe it was Pikachu.
 
twas a mewtwo, and a kanghaskhan(heh, I probably mutilated that name), on thoise old lunchable cards.

It could have been KFC. I remember my friend got a Vulpix plushie from there and I was super jealous.

I think the first Pokemon I saw was Pikachu and I think it was in the first episode where Ash was in Saffron trying to fight Sabrina.
 
I'm not 100% sure, I think the first Pokémon I saw was in an issue of Nintendo Power that came just one or two months before Red and Blue were released. *Goes to look for that issue*

As for the first time after the article, it was the anime episode "Bulbasaur and the Hiddin Village"
