Yesterday, I was going around the St. Leo's Unniversity campus getting things like my schedule so that I would be ready for when my first year of college. When I was heading back to the car, I stepped off a curb without seeing it, tripped over my foot, and landed right on top of it, spraining my ankle very badly. So now I can't walk and, due to my poor arm strength, I can't use crutches to get around. I can't play my Wii now either because I have to keep my foot in an elevated position, and to face my TV, I'd have to twist my entire upper body. I swear, I have terrible luck. I never imagined myself to be unable to walk.

About five years ago I was running down my driveway and I slipped on some lawn clippings. I went airborne and over and down a very small hill into my neighbors yard (a distance of about a foot). I ended up bashing my knee against the edge of the pavement of my neighbor's driveway. My knee was cut down to the bone. I don't know how in the heck I was able to get up. I guess adrenaline played a role. That night I got about 10 stiches and had to use a crutch to move around (which I wasn't supposed to do much) for about a month.

I've been relatively lucky when it comes to injuries. But...Hm...Worst, eh...It'd have to be a botched chair shot I took back when I wrestled for a backyard federation. I ended up with a knot on my head for a few weeks, and one painful migraine. I may have incurred worse injuries, but this one certainly sticks out in my mind as being an injury of note.

Eh, the worst injury I can remember is when I bit my tongue by accident. I'm a big wimp when it comes to pain, and boy, that was painful. :/

I too have been fairly lucky when it comes to injuries. I think the worst that I've had was when I was rough housing with my friends and I'd been punched in the stomach once (knocking the wind out of me) and then my friend (who is reletively large) falling on top of me . . that hurt SO much.

But, I do have pectus excavatum . . if that counts. If you don't know what it is, you can look it up. However, the pictures of it, mine isn't that bad; not that deep.

Probably tearing my LCL playing hackey sack.
Betcha didn't know you could tear a ligament playing hackey sack. =D

I had to wear a brace for about a month and a half. No crutches, no time off school, just hobbling around in a brace.

Third grade. Scooted back in a chair, and it caught on a rug. I fell backwards and broke the larger of the two bones in my left forearm. Was at least an hour before I got a hospital, probably a half hour of waiting there. Got it set, got it healed. Then the doctor says it didn't heal right and I was going to have to have surgery. Went in for the surgery...but they couldn't find a blood vein. That was after a couple of hours of constantly poking me with needles. At one point, I had three sticking out of me. So, I couldn't have the surgery. Bones are still weird (arm looks fine, though), and I don't have the same strength in both arms.

That's probably the worst, especially since it led to a chain of things. But I broke my arm right after a friend of mine did (a few months later), and we actually became better friends because of it.

It's easy to play the Wii sitting down. But that doesn't heally help your other problem

I've gotten lots of injuries
There was this one where I was dancing and my toe stepped on something metal and it went in really deep. I didn't know it was bleeding when I hopped to the bathroom but it was, and dripping all over too. Worst of all, it was on my birthday!

There were many other experiences. One time I jumped in the lake in the Poconos and there was a rock there and I hit my tailbone. Luckily, the lake has a relaxing sandy area so I wasn't that bad.

When I was 1 or so, I tripped over and hit the bridge of my nose on the edge of this steel shelf. It split my nose right open. I still have a big scar from it.

That's the worst I can remember though. I'm a walking-accident; I always have some kind of injury/sickness, but splitting my nose open was pretty bad.

Prolly when I was skateboardin down the huge hill in front of my house and I hit a rock and broke my arm and broke one of my front teeth in half.

When I was 6 years old I feel off of my neighbours rope swing. I put my left hand out to break my fall, instead breaking my wrist completely. There was no bone connecting my hand to my arm. To make matters worse, the hospital service in my town is...shal we say sub-par, in that they let my arm heal in the wrong position. They had to break it manually again, this time inserting a pin in through the bone. I still have the pin and the whole 1 stitch I got. Still my only stitch to this day.

BTW, 1000th post FTW!

Oh now I remember two . . one rather major the other not so major, but worse than the one I stated above.

When I was three and living in Belgium, we lived in a three-story farm house and I rolled down the flight of stairs . . I'm not sure how I got from the third story to the bottom, but I did.

The second one happened a little over a year ago, and might've even been two years ago. I burnt my fingers on a fluorescent light . . I think those are ones . . well, it burnt the skin of my thumb and pointer finger right off . . it hurt incredibly bad. : /

When I was about five or six I was riding my bike on the street in front of my house. The street was paved with gravel, so it's very jagged and rough. I made too sharp of a turn and crashed on the street, knocking out at least one tooth (baby teeth, fortunately).

Another time, when I was around the same age, I was running down my street to a neighbor's house, and I slipped on the gravel and cut my knee open very deep. A neighbor had to carry me home, and I still have the scar.

I've also been fairly lucky when it comes to injuries, which is probably good considering I have the uncanny ability to trip over /air/.

The worst I can recall are the one time my brother bounced me high on the trampoline and I bounced all off target. Landed on the very edge and hit my tailbone on the outside rail thing. That hurt!

And the other is my right wrist. I sprained it in water aerobics (they had us pushing kickboards under water and I guess I tweaked my wrist a bit doing that). It wasn't bad, but then that night I went to lift my (fat) cat up onto the top bunk of my bed where he slept with me every night.. and pushing him up above my head with my injured wrist just made it a heckuva lot worse. The pain was so bad that my mom even let me miss school the next day. My wrist healed, but apparently not correctly because it'll re-injure itself at the drop of a hat. Once I re-sprained it pulling a sweatshirt on over my head. And another time picking up a gallon jug of milk. I don't have a completely full range of motion with it anymore either, but it's not not noticeable/doesn't bother me most of the time.

Lol, I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at you. Its just that a very similar thing happened to me... I couldn't sit right for two weeks, I had to kinda lean on one side or the other XD

At our house in Indiana we had an above-ground pool, and I was getting out of it when--well, the steps had rotted through, so dad had replaced them with wood...and wood gets very slippery in water. So I slipped and hit my upper jaw on the top part. I felt a kind of powder in my mouth and realized that it was part of my tooth. So now I have a cap on my top two front teeth.

Another time, I was walking in my room--that's it! Just walking!--when I fell and threw my knee out. The doctor initally told me it was broken, but later said that he'd looked at the xray wrong or something (something to do with an unrelated abnormal bone growth). Either way, it hurt like fuck and I had to go to Kumoricon with a leg brace and crutches.

i was riding my friends ATV when i hit a tree busted my jaw and fractured my skull

I haven't gone into the bad end of injuries yet, but the worst I can remember is braking my right arm. The WHOLE arm. The only thing I could move my arm with is my thumb and 2 fingers. o_o

I believed I fell off something. I couldn't remember since this was, idk, 7 years ago?

The stupid thing was that I still went to school, even though I couldn't write.

Does being dropped on my head by a babysitter at the age of 5 months count?
