Well lets look at what it looked like in the original games.

I'm guessing this is some view of that small water area between the middle and top-right of the town. I guess they made that a hot spring in the remakes.

Yeah it looks like a hotsrping to me...if that little cave was explorable that'd be cool. <.<

Probably just a small little hotspring like you guys have already said.

Although, it wouldn't surprise me if this is the new site where you run into the monks or when you first see Lugia/Ho-oh. Something like that.

That'd be awesome if it was a site where you'd first encounter your version's legendary. It'd bring a bit more depth to the legendary plot.

Probly, but there's no little waterfall in that..it's probly that but improved. <.<

okay, just checking. I knew that patch of water was there (I spent a couple hours fishing for Poliwag there) but the waterfall rock thing confused me.
