So what matchups do you fantasize seeing in the anime? Preferably between two characters where the writers have absolutely no reason to even consider letting them have a pokemon battle together right now, but would be so AWESOME and EPIC if it ever happened.

I have 2:
Giovanni vs Ash - Pikachu vs his Persian would be something I'd like to see
Paul vs Gary- electivire vs umbreon would make an interesting match up (actually i can probably think of many good ones with these 2)
 
Ash Vs. Cynthia. The DP series hyped this up for 4 years, where was it?
 
Iris vs Trip. I want it to happen and this time I want Ash to sit down, shut up and butt out and not rudely interject and demand Trip battle him instead when he speaks with Iris.

Brock vs Paul or Gary.
 
-Giovanni vs SOME OTHER BOSS.
-J vs Vicious. Yes I know some of you may claim this to be impossible but I still hold that she will show up again.
-Paul vs Silver. You know you want to see it.
-All the Champions vs each other.

Conway Vs Misty

Katie vs Barry

Katie vs Jeanette fisher(HAWT CHICK BATTLE)

Urara vs Nozomi. I really wanted their 20 second bitching at eachother to go somewhere xD
 
Musashi VS Kojiro. Interesting how she would've had a type advantage against him (bug&poison VS psychic&grass) before Best Wishes, but now the tables have turned (psychic VS ghost).
 
Ash vs. Professor Oak. The old man used to be a full-time trainer, after all, and he's got that Dragonite. I'd love to see Super Special Awesome Charizard go up against him. It would also be great for the whole student-vs-mentor thing.
 
I am surprised there has never been a Misty Vs. Brock or Misty Vs. May battle.

The writers really didn't want Misty to battle people much, did they?
