Gen III of course. But this should be in the video games board, not here.
 
Generation 1, no question about it my first generation and Kanto is the video game region I know the best. But since there are no multiples I would say that generation 2 comes in at a very close second but I could not pick it as well.
 
It's a toss-up between Gen I and Gen II, but I'm going to choose II because HGSS is putting me in a Johto-esque mood. :p
 
Game wise, Gen II, since it was my first. Anime and Manga wise, Gen I, all the way.
 
Anime wise, all the Gens... "a fresh breath of new air" wise... Gen III...
 
Gen IV for the Pokémon. (Namely Piplup and most definitely Looker, even though he's not a Pokémon, haha.) But I like gens I and II anime wise.
 
I picked Gen IV. Because it's the most recent, and somehow I can't really see myself going back.
 
It used to be Gen II, but with HGSS to be released, Gen IV steals that.
 
I voted gen III because ruby was probably the game I played the most. And I enjoyed FRLG, even if no one else did...

I probably would have voted gen IV for HGSS, but I found DP somewhat disappointing
