What is your favorite Pokemon-Based Manga?

...Call me crazy, but Ihara's Diamond and Pearl Adventure!

The characters in this are just so fun and whacky, but still in an original and creative way.

For a gag Manga, there really aren't too many running gags (Aside from the Galactic dude with the swollen bottom and Hareta's "I'll just put this in my mouth to find out what it is!" habit), and that's fine for me, because running gags generally get on my nerves after a while, and it's good to have fresh humor.

Overall, it manages to be epicly halirious while still telling a good story, and the characters all click very nicely together. Very well played, and strange, since I didn't like Pokemon Emerald Challenge!! Battle Frontier! very much.

Runner ups are RBYG Special, but I can't really say much about them, because I've only read The Best of Pokemon Adventures.

Yeah, Special's my favorite as well, with an emphasis on the late-RGB through Yellow issues. I really enjoy the somewhat-darker take on the Pokemon series--I liked seeing Trainers and Pokemon in genuine danger, though I remember feeling incredibly freaked out and frightened as a child when
Lance blew up Vermillion City and didn't care if Trainers died.

Plus, Bill was pure comedy genius.

special, although I prefer the cartoon show more (please don't kill me ^_^')

How I Became A Pokémon Card and Magical Pokémon Journey. They show the every day lives of people AND pokémon, with situations rather than adventures. Heroes are all fine and good, but sometimes you want to read about the average Joe, especially in a world like that. You want to see what life in that world is like for someone who's *not* off saving the region or defeating the bad guys.

And heck, PokeWake even explores the lives of the bad guys sometimes!

The Electric Tale of Pikachu because it's Rocketshippy and Pikachu is cyuuute! But I also love PokeSpecial, mostly because I adore the art.
