Well, I'm a complete n00b because I have tried to find some sort of list and can't find anything, minus the DP pokemon that are found in either version. Is there a complete or semi-complete list of what pokemon from the previous regions in with DP, without some sort of Gameshark or trading?

I really appreciate any help.

After the E4, you can find and catch almost every non-ledgendary, non-starter, and non-Tropius.

Thanks- what about before the E4? Or pretty early on? I'm hoping to start off, when I get either Diamond or Pearl, with mostly pokemon from the previous regions, if I can. I've done that with the other games, minus the Kanto-based ones. I'm really nostalgic. ^^;

So long as you have all of the GBA games, they're all available, excepting the legendaries and starters, without transferring, due to the dongle method.

Yeah, iirc we didn't see a Tropius until a month after; but it IS in the game.

Looks like I've gotta go out and get the 3rd gen games again.... unless someone wants to clone 'em for me.... ^_~

And by "we", I suppose you were among the few enlightened souls to have found it?

Tangela (and consequently Mojanbo) and Tropius are exclusive to the GBA games, found in the DS games strictly via Pal Park. As such, Tangela and Tropius have become the Pal Park's mascot.

Needless to say, added to the list should be Seedot, Nuzleaf, Shiftry, Mawile, Zangoose, Solrock, Lotad, Lombre, Ludicolo, Sableye, Seviper, Lunatone, Pineco, Forretress, Gligar, Glion, Shuckle, Teddiursa, Ursaring, Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Ekans, Arbok, Growlithe, Arcanine, Elekid, Electabuzz, Electivire, Weedle, Kakuna, Beedril, Sandshrew, Sandslash, Vulpix, Ninetales, Magby, Magmar and Booburn. It makes no difference whether Pal Park is a necessary requirement so long as the GBA cartridges are involved.

Thus we have 90 Pokémon exclusive to the GBA games. As of this time, only 400 Pokémon can be obtained between the DS games.

Tangela can be found via a swarm in Tengan Mountain and Tropius is in the Safari Zone. At least, so says Serebii.

Serebii is wrong. If nothing more, it should be no coincidence that both Tangela and Tropius are the subjects of official Pal Park screenshots.

Thankfully, there are more viable sources for detailed location data.

Actually, it's "In the end, it doesn't really matter...

I was relying on what Serebii said; guess he's wrong. Oh well.
