When you're feeling bummed out, do you listen to music to make yourself feel better? If so, are there any artists/songs/genres in particular that help raise your spirits?

I like listening to soft rock/alternative songs with hopeful messages, like Rob Thomas's "Someday."

I usually end up listening to soundtracks from movies or shows that I like - that usually does the trick.

Mostly upbeat dance/ house/ techno, but sometimes grand, epic tracks do the trick.

I usually listen to anime soundtracks... They calm me down for some reason. Like, "Kiki's Delivery Service" soundtrack is so calm... I love it. Also the "Nabari No Ou" soundtrack.

I also listen to "Kirby 64: Kirby and the Crystal Shards" and "Hey, you Pikachu" music. They have good music.

I also LOVE to listen to the Lion King Soundtrack. It has such wonderful music.

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire music (specifically Verdanturf's music) and Nickelback music

Heavy Metal! Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Falling in Reverse, Black Veil Brides!

Definitely oldies jazz. Like Bob Crosby and the Bobcats.
