its a lickitung the pokemon... but the card type I have no idea.It must be a Japanese exclusive card set or something?

Hey guys mainly i want to know what these cards are because i have a ton with no use and am looking to sell them. if you want to see more just ask

Huh, I've never seen a card anything like this. I'd love to see some more pictures!

Strange...the hi-res pics confirm my suspicion that these are not the TCG cards, but something else. There's PP on the top and HP on the middle with a bar, and a 1, 2, 3 step or attack thing. We might need a translator for this...

Also, a bit off topic, but why don't you get posting on other boards, @sargentscythe? Get more involved with the community and all.

I've got absolutely nothing on those... they could be a different collectable card series that never took off because of the TCG, they could be a group that came in a set as one game... I would be interested if you discover anything about them. What do the back of the cards look like?

The cards appear to be describing attacks, rather than Pokémon. The Lickitung one describes Defense Curl, Venomoth's describes Psybeam, Mewtwo's is Psychic, Rattata's shows Tail Whip, etc.

If anyone wants, I can have a go at translating these, but like others I've never seen these type of cards before. They seem quite old, probably released during Generation I (they make mention of Psychic having a 10% chance of lowering the Special stat, so this was before the Special split of Gen 2).

They seem to describe the moves exactly as they would be in-game, so I'm thinking these are info cards about specific moves to serve as a reference when playing the games.

Have you trued asking on pkmncollectors on LiveJournal? Someone there might have an idea as to what it is, since of course the community is all about Pokemon merchandise and collecting, buying and selling them.

They don't look like the topsun cars. They could be meiji cards, although I'm not sure that that's quite right either. If you could scan the backs that would probably help!
