What kind of welcome home will Paul get from his Pokemon?

When Reggie told a bunch of Paul's Pokemon that Paul had lost, they all looked disappointed. What kind of welcome home will they give Paul.

Even though Paul doesn't train his Pokemon with compassion, his Pokemon may still care about him. They might give him a huge welcome back when he gets home.

Yeah, you know...seeing them act like super happy and cute like that really just throws away any hints of Paul "abusing" his pokemon. (at least, for me)

Ha, Paul's Pokemon weren't sad to hear he lost, they were sad because they knew Paul would come home and beat them.

I think he'll walk over to them, kneel down, and say, "Hey don't be sad, we'll do better next time."

I doubt they hate him. I'm sure when he gets home they'll greet him back! Is he going home before setting off to the Battle Frontier first?

Do pokemon really care when it comes to that? I know they can get upset when they lose, but Paul has had alot of winning streaks, so I don't think it will kill them to chill.

Based on their emotions when they heard he lost, but their happiness when Reggie told them about how Paul had grown along with the battle being a great one…Paul and Reggie’s Pokemon will give Paul and his 6 Pokemon a warm welcome. Paul might talk to them about how they will get stronger for the next time around. Now that hes heading off to face the BF, I’m sure that like Gary he is going to grow a lot more.

In Glory Blaze, he mentions that he only trained (abuses) Chimchar in a certain way and not his other Pokemon because it was what Chimchar wanted. He made the monkey think that the only way for it to unlock its full power was for it to endure such harsh training. Looking at the Pokemon, Paul shows a different side to them in private that we never see onscreen. My best example to prove my point is Urasring. The fierce bear always has its game face on when it is onscreen. Then seeing it being happy/sad was priceless. Overall, they will be happy to see their master return home and will be prepared for a new series of training for the Kanto BF. I mean he is only going to be there for a little time, he’ll probably complete the BF before Ash competes in the next Pokemon League in the new region. I don’t think that this is the end of Paul just the start of something new for Ash and Paul.
